Virginia: House passes bills to allow primary write-ins, change primary date...

This is bullsh*t! There is no end to the corruption. Funny how all the rules start changing now that Ron Paul has a fighting chance.

I can't even describe how much contempt I have for Gingrich and Santorum!

The GOP and the Establishment are desperate because they know there time is coming to an end.

virginia rule change

it is my understanding that the new legislation won't take effect until the next election cycle. it won't effect this year's primary. unfortunately, this little tidbit was left out of the article.

Can you cite a source on this

Can you cite a source on this info? I certainly hope you are right....

Virginia, why have laws to abide by?

Oh never mind the Question.

All I have to say is.

THE CONSTITUTION OF THE USA.

The laws are broken there also.

Dumb ass me, but CHICKEN CHIT you VA.

Does FREEDOM really scare you all that badly?

It might be good

It's only bad if you thought that Ron Paul would get more than 50% of the vote because then he would get all the delegates.

If no one gets 50%, it's proportional.

I don't think Ron Paul was going to get 50% unless newt told his supporters to vote for Paul. I think that is a long shot.

Interesting

This is an interesting concept. If this does apply to this coming primary, how might the vote go and how might the delegates be apportioned?

My understanding is that the 50% rule applies to only 13 of the delegates. If no candidate gets over 50%, then those getting over 15% divide up the delegates. The rest (33) are winner take all by 11 congressional districts. If write-ins prevented Romney from getting 50%, then Paul might get 3 or 4 of these 13 delegates.

I wonder if Paul could win some districts. Even winning one district would be about the same as getting a quarter of the 13.

The DA was embarassed when at first he said he approved

of adding Rick Perry and Newt G to the ballot, then withdrew that idea... Afterall if he of all people doesn't respect the rule of a law.. then his career is a sham. Now this "house of delegates".. (?). Yes this whole national campaign is about keepin it from being a 2 way. Funny they thought their republican candidates could hold up long enough to finish and ultimately get defeated by Obama. Let' just say, they didn't last long, they're a joke and/or dropping like flies. We have to get used to this I suppose. But this is the essence of tyranny... making rules up as you go along. Virginia should be ashamed.

Uh,

"because they know there time is coming to an end" should be " because they know their time is coming to an end."

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

relax

It won't pass the democratic senate.

Plus Virginia's governor will overturn it as would the DA.

No worries.

I wish I Could Say Don't Worry

But I can't Virginia is a winner take all state. The Virginia House, Senate, and Governor passed a bill last year to lift the ban on DRE voting machines through June 30, 2012. This allowed for them to buy more to replace old ones that were no longer functional as they were being phased out. Combine that with the fact the Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell endorsed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for president Jan. 20th. I think he would be more than happy to have it a four man race and I think the Democrats would much rather have Romney to run against than Paul. All in all I smell fraud on the horizon.

Elections; voting equipment; DREs. Allows, for a limited period until June 30, 2012, the purchase of direct recording electronic machines from any source to meet legal mandates to provide accessible voting equipment. The bill provides for oversight of such purchases by the State Board of Elections.

And the "Dems"

don't want RP any more than the "Repub" bosses. And they own the election process. No others allowed.

I hope your right...

... sometimes I just feel like pulling out my hair watching how much they lie, cheat and steal our elections from us.

Brush it off

this is a token gesture.

Newt is such a baby.
