Smear attacks

The old "Pimping for Paul" is back.

Prostitutes Stand Up for Paul Donating Their Tips

I wrote to the reporter and to the editor:
"Hello from Portugal.

As an XXXXXXXX, I'm a big fan of Bloomerg. But I'm writting because of the article: "Prostitutes Stand Up for Paul Donating Their Tips"

Please see the video below to understand why this a smear attack against Ron Paul.

Pimping for Paul: A Case Study in Media Bias:

What do you think of sending a lot of e-mails to all the accounts of each media that publish a smear attack?

Some reporters can even be just naive, so we can offer then the truth they didn't bother to find.

UPDATE

Got an answer e-mail:

"Thank you for sharing the video and for your comments.

I was not familiar with the video's contention that this was a smear created by Tucker Carlson, but I have no doubt that the BunnyRanch was involved mostly aas a publicity stunt. However, in our article, the prostitutes were only included in the headline and at the end. If people were drawn to read our article because of the prostitutes in the headline, the reality is they got a story filled with voices from serious Ron Paul supporters -- volunteers pounding the pavement, raising money and talking to their fellow church members. They did not get a hit piece or a smear of Ron Paul.

I do appreciate your concerns, and I do hope you continue trusting and reading Bloomberg. Please do not hesitate to reach out in the future.

Best regards,
Amanda Crawford"

For me this is a true unbiased jornalist.

Got the response of Amanda

...and I'm trully happy to know that she was interested and saw the video.

Having grown up in Vegas,

the concept of prostitution never seemed to be that big of a deal. In the earlier days it was considered a necessary fixture in the casino landscape. Surely it can be considered in the same light as crap tables, free drinks, bachelor parties and other forms of adult entertainment.
But that has changed over time. Vegas has grown immensely and these new-comers have mixed feeling about the subject at hand and will probably side against it. They will still hold dear the belief that it is immoral because that's what they grew up to understand.
This is just my observation as an 'insider'.

** I read the article linked in this post from Bloomberg, and I found it mostly positive from my perspective. The headline, however, might tend to sway some readers from the message of freedom.**

Having grown up in Vegas,

the concept of prostitution never seemed to be that big of a deal.

In the earlier days, before the corporations took over the gaming industry, it was considered a necessary fixture in the casino landscape. After all, it is part of Vegas' lure. Surely it can be considered in the same light as crap tables, free drinks, bachelor parties and other forms of adult entertainment.

Though prostitution is illegal in Clark County ( Vegas ), it is well known and well accepted among locals, that one might go to the next county to obtain that sort of 'entertainment'. And your local pit boss would be available to provide directions without hesitation.

But that has changed over time.

Over the past few decades, Vegas has grown immensely. People from all over the country had flocked there to make it one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. These new-comers have mixed feeling about the subject at hand and will probably side against it. They will still hold dear the belief that it is immoral because that's what they grew up to understand.

This is just my observation as an 'insider'.

You never

know - this might not be a bad thing in Nevada.

But I get what they are doing. It's a non issue. People understand you can't control who endorses you.
