How many sign petitions for causes, email senators, etc on a DAILY basis?

I'm curious. Because it doesn't seem too many here use OpenCongress or PopVox. Period.
I mean the guys there are half-wits. You want these dangerous animals complaining to congressmen or standing for anti-liberty causes out of their own naívety?
I sign things for over twenty (20) different organisations on a daily basis (natural foods, second amendment issues, etc in addition to political activism). It all takes less than 15 minutes, provided I don't have to make any quick phone calls anywhere.
This is what's needed here. Remember, 1 voice = 1000. Commenting on a forum, though?

I send out letters prompted from DownsizeDC frequently
I've noticed recently that the "responses" from my reps often don't even mention the original topic.
It's just a generic "I'm proud to serve you and thank you for writing" piece of boilerplate drivel.
I'm tempted to take one of those to a town hall and ask the rep why he "wrote" me that letter, and if he remembers the original issue I raised.
If that's the case, they
If that's the case, they still hear your views.
The SOPA and PIPA petition campaigns were up for weeks all over the internet, in many languages, and if I remember correctly only around a million or so even bothered signing the petitions. And guess what? It was enough to stop these bills from becoming laws, at least for now.
Also if you think things are going to change just by Ron Paul getting elected, you could hardly be more wrong.
I used to e-mail my Senators
I used to e-mail my Senators quite often until I realized that they weren't interested in what I had to say. They have an agenda and are going to push it thru no matter how I feel about it. I do still sign petitions quite often but I have a feeling that is about as useful as e-mailing my legislators.
That isn't true. Even the
That isn't true. Even the most vile and crooked senator in my state (and probably in all of congress) has done A LOT of good things, evenmoreso with my vocalisation.
Sitting back not doing anything is mass-think (more than half the population doesn't even show up to vote in the general election). So those who sign these petitions effectively make the laws. And many of them, as aforementioned, are near-complete idiots on the bulk of issues.
