When we go out to a restaraunt

Is there a slim jim to give the waiter/waitress about tax free tips and the bills the Dr. has introduced in congress. I didn't see any on 2012 website. Restaurants are a great place to talk about Ron Paul because you get the servers undivided attention. Then you can relate how R.P. is trying to help them finacially.

I've used these...

as the first poster pointed out. Here's the link:

They are great because they fit nicely inside the folio you get with your bill.

And I agree with others, don't be cheap. Tip well if not better. My wife and I ate out last night and used a 25% off our entire meal coupon. The itemized bill showed our amount of discount so I could see how much our sub-total would be to calculate the correct tip at 20%.

Our server was a genuinely enthusiastic young person and we appreciated him. So we added more tip on top of it.

Total bill was $22 in change. Our server got a $10 tip with his RP business card.

One of these cards goes in with the tip. I think they're great and they might just reach one person who could reach one more and so on. I always tip a little extra hoping that it will somehow increases the chances of them reading it.

my sister got one these last month

she is a waitress at a local BBQ place....one of her tables left her that with the tip...how awesome!!

Don’t forget…

As I waiter I love receiving 18% to 20% for tips. If I received a Ron Paul slimjim with a 15% tip or less, I would be pissed.

Waiters make their money on tips.

A general rule to tip is to take the first number on your bill and double it. It’s all ways a great tip.

If your bill was $40, your tip should be $8. If your bill was $110, your tip should be $22. Thanks again and make Ron Paul look good with good tippers!

When I use these cards I

When I use these cards I always give at least 20%.

That being said, when did the customary tip change from 15%? I'm vaguely aware that it is now supposed to be 20%, but why?

This is a sincere question. I'm not trying to be a prick.

(please don't claim inflation, because the bill is already inflated thus the percentage with it.)

If you tip with pre-1964 silver coinage, are tips reported

at face value or market value?

That and a slim jim might be a good one-two combination.

I would add FRN to that tip because...

As a server, I am required at the end of the shift to tip my busser (10%), runner(8%) and bartender(6%). Every restaurant is different but at my fancy seafood resaurant, I have to pay 24% of my collected tips to my support staff. As a waiter I only keep 76% of my tips. Again, every restaurant has diffent standards.

So when you tip a server a pre 1964 us coin, they can't make change, unless they hide the tip from their support staff. Its a good idea but you need some FRN for a proper tip.

Also, I claim my revenue to the gov't on the percentage of my sales no matter how much I make. So a pre 1964 coin would be counted as .10 cents. I do get people who forget or just bad tippers. uggg....

I usually tip

in large sums of pennies... with a ron paul tax-free-tips card.

Thumbs up to the tax free tips business card. It is short, simple and easy to understand. It is just planting a seed.

This is a great idea

I thought there was a

Here is a lower taxes slim-jim which has "Eliminating taxes on tips" listed on it.

Here is the "Tax Free Tips" business cards.

Yes!

They are not slim jims, they are more like little business cards with info on them. They are perfect for leaving in a check presenter at a restaurant. I leave one every joint I go to. I also put them in community tip jars at coffee shops and so on. Your local HQ should have some, or I'm sure you can them from the official site.

Business Cards

RonPaul2012.com dose not have a slim jim for tax free tips. They do have business cards on the issue that are $4 for a pack of 100. They are located on the Miscellaneous section of the store.
