Three Percent in 1775

During the American Revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists. They were in turn actively supported by perhaps 10% of the population. In addition to these revolutionaries were perhaps another 20% who favored their cause but did little or nothing to support it. Another one-third of the population sided with the King (by the end of the war there were actually more Americans fighting FOR the King than there were in the field against him) and the final third took no side, blew with the wind and took what came.

I love how history repeats itself, or it RHYMES

Thank you for the history lesson.

History always repeats itself or it Rhymes also, from war to economies, to dollars, to dictatorships.

Yet we the american people choose not to listen to our elders( forefathers) and the warnings they constantly gave us as the years went by, even thou things are blatantly obvious in our faces and a repeat of what happened years, decades, centuries ago..

History in itself is supposed to be the guardian of knowledge and we are supposed to learn from it and not repeat ourselves..

Samuel Adams

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.
