WESTBROOK - Eighty-six-year-old Fred Collins got to his feet Sunday afternoon and urged about 30 of his neighbors to support Rep. Ron Paul of Texas for president.
"He's the only one I'm hearing in Washington standing up for the Constitution," Collins said...

So, the old folks DO vote for Ron Paul!
And it has been happening all along.
It's a fallacy that the older demographics don't vote for Ron Paul. They do vote for RP. In fact, they make up most of RP's support, because the younger demographics aren't showing up at the voting booths.
Now, if the young voters would actually show up, maybe something even better might happen.
Go Maine
Certainly would be wonderful to get some good, honest results for a change!
Please
video tape the counting of the votes!

Great work in Maine by all.
Glad to hear folks from NH jumped the state line to offer support.
We would so be golden if we had caucuses in every state!

"Your guy can't win," Kevin
"Your guy can't win," Kevin Crocker said from the back of the audience. "He can't beat Obama and now you're trying to hijack what we're doing here."
This feeble-minded idiot probably said the same thing 4 years ago that McCain was the most electable. Look what happened in November 2008, McCain lost traditionally Republican voting states of Indiana, North Carolina, and Virginia. Is that electability to Kevin Crocker?
We have learned our lesson and not be fooled with this straw argument of electability again.
I would have said
you know at the founding of our country, when we were about to go to war with England, many of our fellow Americans said we couldn't beat the King and his Army and Navy, but we did, but I'm thinking if everyone was like you, we probably would have lost, or maybe not even wrote the Declaration of Independence.
"Your guy can't win," Kevin Crocker said
I'd have replied:
If the media had informed you without bias then you would know that the only two candidates who poll well against Obama are Romney and Paul.... so you should point your finger at the Gingrich and Santorum supporters in this room and tell them that THEY are hijacking what we are doing here.
You might also be shocked to find out that only Romney and Paul will be on the ballot in all 50 states since Gingrich and Santorum are running such poor campaigns that they've failed to get on the ballot in some states.
"Your guy can't win," Kevin Crocker said
I'd have replied:
"You ARE ABSOLUTELY correct, Kevin. With just a small correction:
IF everybody were as deeply NUMB as you are, our guy would have no chance, and still be alone, even after standing up for a THOUSAND years straight. No doubts.
BUT he's been practically alone for 30 years "only", and he's managed by now to surround himself with MILLIONS, in just a few years, all over the place.
With ZERO support other than his grassroots.
Does this STILL NOT give you a clue?"
