Would Paul receive endorsement from Newt or Santorum?

I've been going back and forth in my head about this the last few days. Rick Santorum said in his post-Nevada speech Saturday night that a vote for Romney/Gingrich is pretty much a vote for Obama.

Newt Gingrich, as much as he slams Romney, it would make me SICK TO MY STOMACH to see him endorse Romney if in fact Santorum drops out before Newt does.

No, they won't.

The purpose of Rick saying this is to sell himself as the anti-Romney/Gingrich true conservative alternative in the race. And the purpose of Gingrich saying it is to sell himself as the anti-Romney/anti-establishment alternative who can beat Obama. Who is the true conservative/anti-establishment candidate in the race who is most likely to beat Obama? Paul is. Gingrich/Santorum are both looking to capture those votes by pandering to the base who oppose Romney.

YES! Gingrich will - If he still hates Romney as much in August

I think there is a real possibility Gingrich might throw his support to Dr. Paul due to 2 things:

1. Santorum will be out by then.

2. Gingrich literally exudes hate for Romney. Utter disdain. So only by becoming an ultimate hypocrite, will Gingrich endorse Romney.

By process of elimination this leaves only Ron Paul.

Although it would be for vindictive reasons, we could sure use any delegates we get in August.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

Even if Paul is nominated, I

Even if Paul is nominated, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an endorsement from Newt or Rick. Romney's already said he would support Paul if nominated, but he's got a history of flip floppiness. I think he probably would. He's a narcissist and a Paul endorsement would send a lot of love his way.

The other candidates

have too much pride to ever endorse Dr. Paul.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a

fall.

LOL

What candidate that has dropped out has endorsed paul??? It is ridiculous to even think about. Gingrich has actively pursued keeping Paul out of his own district seat by aiding a Rino democrat. Paul has beaten the move by gingrich/rove every time. That is my only last thread of hope for this campaign. That somehow there is deep lying strategy that brings him up as the dark horse in the final hour. We NEED gingrich and santorum out. That's the end of the line, I think right now they are only muddying the water because they are starting to steal Paul's coin talking points. ie gold standard/ constitution. It is amazing that they can actually get several thousand to vote for them. Romney I understand, I really do. IF you REALLY dont want to rock the boat, then Romney is the key. Without fail, nothing will change in the next 12 years if Romney is selected and elected.

Here is why I don't think so

Both of those guys are in this for themselves and they both want to maximize what they get out of this campaign. They both know RP would never offer anything in return for their endorsement because he cannot be bought.

Romney on the other hand would likely offer cabinet positions or something in return for their endorsement.

But the emotion of anger is a strong one and if Newt gets mad enough it may lead him to do something like that.
