A Nation of Historic Amnesics, or Pliant Fools? Poll states Almost 50% FOR Iran War!

Less than a decade after a series of govt lies and fabrications that netted us 8,500+ American lives murdered, 1 MILLION+ Iraqis killed, many more displaced, 35,000 known number of American veterans with injuries, 100's of thousands more maimed, with various ailments, PTSD, pandemic of suicides, $4.7 TRILLION wasted, and most superficially, $3.30~5/gal gasoline, with looming currency collapse, with a sheeple populace utterly ignorant of rudimentary economics to the point a clueless finacial ignoramus like Suze Orman has become synonymous with 'financial acumen,' over the adivce of one of the most prescient financial gurus alive in the world today, Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul.

Yet they still want to murder more foreigners and use our own as cannon fodders.

So, the arrogant parade of delusional fools who trumpet their ignorance for the whole world to see, cluelessly, but proudly spike their flags on the historical rocks of putrid haughty delusions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4ygKkX6cLM

Check Back here for Real Time with Bill Maher 236

or Watch Suze Orman and an entire slate of econ imbeciles openly wonder why a man so prescient on foreign policy would be 'so wrong' about economics:
http://www.hbo.com/real-time-with-bill-maher/index.html#/rea...

Shouldn't the real question from a comedian who has not taken the time to actually study or research economics or history in an age where any 5yr can verify for himself with an access to internet, if a man intelligent enough to become a medical doctor applied the same intelligence to learn and master economics, shouldn't the comedian be asking, 'well, guess I SHOULD find out WHY a man that smart whom I agree with and respect tremendously in one area, but I completely disagree with on econ, must have a reason. Let me research and find out.' - ah, yeah, if Maher actually had a shred of genuine intellectual curiosity about matters outside of his immediate interests, or a sincere sense of humility, for that matter.

Completely representative of Orman and Maher context, in what passes for informed opinion and wit, now a nation of fools is willfully being brainwashed again, even as they lose their jobs, cars, and houses, are thirsting to bomb the hell out of some other 'poor bastards' in another country, who have done nothing against us.

Does America really DESERVE Dr. Paul, or as Larken Rose recently wrote, does she deserve Wrongney, instead?
http://www.dailypaul.com/211478/larken-rose-endorses-mitt-ro...

Or should we expect no less from a nation that praises GWB and Obama, and now the equally murderous Grinch, Frothy and Wrongney, alike?

Polls: Half Of Americans Support Attacking Iran
Obama uses executive order to impose harsh sanctions on Iranian Central Bank

Two new polls ominously highlight that almost half of all Americans are willing to go along with attacking Iran in order to prevent the country from developing nuclear weapons.

In a poll conducted by The Hill, forty-nine percent said military force should be used against Iran, with Sixty-two percent of likely voters adding that they were ‘somewhat’ or ‘very concerned’ about Iran attacking the United States in a terrorist event.

The poll found that just 31 percent did not approve of using military force, while 20 percent were undecided...

What gets me is the 50% that

What gets me is the 50% that DON'T want war! If ONLY 20% of those would get up and go vote for Ron Paul, he would have MORE votes then all the others put together! They would be 10% of the population, and less then 10% have been even coming out to vote so far! Why can't these people realize what is on the line here?

It's called

cognitive dissonance, they fear that change would happen so quickly they may lose control of their ability to survive.
The irony is that the opposite may very well happen from refusing to open up to a real change in political discourse and action.

And the rest are just too fed up or apathetic to do anything. Let somebody else take care of their future (entitlements?) as long as they're working and running from here to there trying to make ends meet.

I remember in the

buildup for the war on Iraq, it was reported that polling was at 93% in favor of war at one point.

I remember another story that compared the number of stories in the NYT's prompting buildup vs doubts on our sources of info for this action indicated an extremely steep sided reporting agenda. Then toss in the speculative stories fed to the media through the back door channels.

Congress should mandate that

Congress should mandate that Bill Kristol, David Frum, Dick Morris, Rush Limbo, Hannity, Lavin, and a host of other Chickenhawks lead the ground infantry in the first wave on the shores of Iran in the new draft.

I think we can find enough people in this country who would agree to that.Let's get Ron or Rand to author the bills.

I'd vote for that

frankly IF there is a new war against Iran commences, I'm afraid the social engineers have vastly underestimated the populace. Once the line is crossed and "people [truly] have nothing left to lose, they lose it" as Celente says.

but unlike Greece, it ain't gonna be a walk in the park. they have no idea the kind of sh*tstorm they're inviting.

I pray for cooler heads to prevail. but except for one, we're all out of heads, let alone cooler ones, in govt.

"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul

who is doing the polling

and did they poll at all?

stop believing the tv for once

read on, it's Rasmussen,

the PPP counterpart for GOP.

ALL 'scientific' polls are push polls. most here already know this. the only polling company with some semblance of reality is Zogby International. Gallup is a direct mouthpiece for the Ruling Class, initially set up to push US into World Wars in the last century.

Others such as PPP do accurate polling once or twice to establish some semblance of legitimacy only to skew it with 10~22 pt differential on within 8hrs leading up to election night, as they did in Iowa. If anyone believes a candidate can have 14 pt bump in less than two days without any significant event, then additional 8pt in less than 8hrs before the poll, has got to be F'ng lobotomized in the head.

the point of all this isn't the polling itself. it's the utter ignorance of the vast majority of our population that they'd fall prey to this crap.

disturbing part is that the populace is moronic enough not to be able to discern when a survey is being done with a pre-designed outcome in mind, to produce a manufactured consent, a Delphi Technique/Diamond Technique of surveying, if you will.

All this is further exemplified when you watch the 'debates;' the MSM 'narrative' is always to focus on the "performance" of the candidates, but never on the nuance of the issues. As if that's not obvious to any sane person already. Worse, the fluidity in REAL polling do shift based on their performances. Which clearly testifies to the fact that even in the age of internet, people are clearly clueless about their favored candidates, their actual voting record, and history. Otherwise howTF can anyone explain the popularity of a pompous douchebag bloviating a-hole like Grinch, Frothy, and to a lesser extent, the FlipFlopping Wrongney?

If one closed their eyes and read off all the real credentials and history and record of Dr. Paul, one couldn't write a more perfect candidate. Perhaps we just suck at selling. but that's just it though. most people hate politics, as is only 45~50 million in a nation of 310 million vote. yet they got themselves worked up enough to participate and even watch the 'debates' which in any nominal sense by our TV-nation entertainment cultre, would be an utter bore, except when it enters reality-TV mode.

The MSM and the audience at large act as if the 'debates'/beauty pageant for politicians, aka. "ShowBiz for the UglyPeople" (as Gerald Celente always says), are audition-callouts for a role in a movie.

Let's face it, they ARE casting calls for a role. Other than Dr. Paul, all RINO losers are nothing but actors. They're murderous loudmouthed psychotic empty suits waiting and willing to fulfill the POTUS role for the powers that be.

The ratings for 'debates' are high specifically for that reason. personally at this rate, I think they should abandon all pretense of intellectualism and just hire Simon 'Briton a-hole with man-tits' Cowell of American Idol fame, to just take over and produce the whole thing.

i just want you to know i read the whole thing

a lot of good stuff written. there's just so much chicanery going on that the best of americans can be fooled. it's not all the shepples' fault.....they should just turn off the tv

I'd say

most of them just can't admit when they're wrong, and would rather just keep doing the same old shit until they destroy themselves and us along with them.

Last night on a bus I was having a pleasant conversation with an older gentleman. The election came up and the man said he liked Rick Perry "because he was masculine". I asked him what that would mean, if anything, in the WH and if he knew how many talking points Perry "borrowed" from Dr. Paul.

He insisted that Perry has never once sounded like Paul or vise-versa, and that Paul was a "nutcase". I asked him why he thought that, and he said "because the Muslims want to take over the world".

"Were the founding fathers nuts?", I asked. He said no, but that they were in a different situation. I then reminded him that the founding fathers took on the most powerful military on Earth and still felt that non-intervention was the best answer. He shut up after that.

Nice guy, though. Just a little...yeah.

A signature used to be here!

yup,

but your description of that guy you rode along in the bus, is unfortunately indicative of utterly delusional, mindless sense of fear and insecurity so common amongst the sheeple in this country.

should've told him that he has a higher likelihood of being hit by a lightning, run over by a bus, hit with a lawsuit, dying over erroneously prescribed medication by his own doctor, than he'll EVER have a chance of being killed in a terrorist attack.

Don't know. Sometimes it almost seems like people have a subconscious nihilistic fantasy about being a victim of a terrorist attack; often times people don't feel 'alive' unless they come face to face with a life/death situation. And, odd as it may sound, the same type of people often subconsciously 'crave' those dangerous situations, especially when they feel unfulfilled in their own private lives.

Plus, being 'part' of a nationwide paranoia, no matter how shallow or evil, in fact, allows them to be part of something greater than themselves, even though such lunacy would never make sense to any sane person, but it's been known to happen to the mentally weak and emotionally immature. Which unfortunately also seems like such disastrous personalities pepper majority of our public servants, too.

This nation for all its tough-guy posture-BS, are a bunch of insecure pansies.

I bring up the parallel with gunowners I know whenever I can, all the time. They all know that more gun laws don't prevent criminals if they're driven to get one.

So, they can see the 'logic' in that, but yet, they cannot see how a 'terrorist' will be stopped by Patriot Act, or NDAA.

Who knows; perhaps like the subconscious nihilistic instinct described above, they want to believe they're part of a larger Crusade (as many Christian gunowners really do believe they're fighting against a bunch of Islamist crazies who want to impose a Sharia-based Muslim Caliphate around the Globe) in which they 'want a chance to take out a terrorist' under every bed and every stripmall-scenario.

Then I proceed with, "seriously, did OBL get rid of my 4th and 5th Amendment RIGHTS, hell the rest of Bill of Rights for that matter. Or did your duly (s)elected public servants, on your behalf?"

*crickets* followed by meandering "he beats me 'cause he loves me" BS deluded denial/rationalization and the hilarity ensues.

For pop-culture punch I bring up Die Hard 3 scene where Willis' John McClane walks into middle of Harlem wearing a posterboard that says "I hate N***ers" on it.

I then ask them, now given the choice, if you were a cop would you constantly walk roll into the Crips or the Bloods hood donning that on your patrol car? No. So why constantly rile up your enemies 24/7?

And for closing I usually go with, "even IF we were to buy the BS propaganda that they hate us for our freedoms. Now if we know a crackhead who've been known to shoot dead someone over a penny in S.Central LA back in the day, WTF makes you think a 'crazed' Islamist is gonna give two f*cks about our 'laws' when he truly believes what motivates him is our lifestyle. Now as is the case in reality, since THEY believe that our occupation is what pissed them off, how much more do you think they'll be driven when they have an actual reason. So whyTF would you want us to wear "I hate N***ers" in their 'hood?'"

Yeah, logic and reality vs. internal emotive fear and insecurity. Sometimes one seriously has to wonder just what goes on in people's minds.

This nation has over 200 million+ guns in private hands, by FBI's own numbers. But, we all know that most gun owners own more than one gun, and don't register them. So chances are much more likely that it's probably closer to 500MILLION+ guns in private hands.

Yet, they act like a bunch of pussies.

Just don't get it sometimes: perhaps those that do respond like mindless neocons, DO buy 'bigger' guns, bigger cars, bigger anything, really must be compensating.

LOL

"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul

A thorough and interesting perspective

Like I say, I think that deep down the guy knew I was right, but didn't want to admit it. I know he knew what I was talking about when I brought up Perry stealing Dr. Paul's talking points, just by the way he reacted. He seemed to be fairly well-informed in other areas, so who knows.

"Don't know. Sometimes it almost seems like people have a subconscious nihilistic fantasy about being a victim of a terrorist attack; often times people don't feel 'alive' unless they come face to face with a life/death situation. And, odd as it may sound, the same type of people often subconsciously 'crave' those dangerous situations, especially when they feel unfulfilled in their own private lives."

In a way that really makes sense IMO. Look at how many people fantasize about all sorts of violent stuff...for any given number of reasons. Look at how many people "change" when they have a near-death experience. Perhaps it'd be a different situation if we weren't being taught that the victims are the bad guys and vise-versa for the past two generations or so.

"Plus, being 'part' of a nationwide paranoia, no matter how shallow or evil, in fact, allows them to be part of something greater than themselves, even though such lunacy would never make sense to any sane person, but it's been known to happen to the mentally weak and emotionally immature. Which unfortunately also seems like such disastrous personalities pepper majority of our public servants, too."

Agreed. Reminds me of the old Milgram experiments turned up to eleven. History seems to revolve around alphas exploiting betas, and sadly I don't think that will change regardless of political happenings. Makes me think "why do I even bother?" sometimes...

A signature used to be here!

LOL

"Makes me think "why do I even bother?" sometimes..." - except a little thing called Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul came along, compelling so many to declare "Dr.Paul cured my apathy!" that sly ol' Silver Fox!

Milgrim is right. It's like the nation that intellectually tried to figure out WHY it was that the "Good Germans" could so easily have turned into such monsters, once the social engineers found out, instead of trying to prevent more of it, REAL history shows that more than likely, they took the lesson as a BluePrint for their future project.

"History seems to revolve around alphas exploiting betas, and sadly I don't think that will change regardless of political happenings." - yup. But, what's really happening to us in the West is what the NWO Wall St. Banksters have done as a "beta-test" in "third world nations," to prep to go after the real Golden Goose, the Good Ol' US of A.

Guess to Frothy, unless your last name's "Santorum," or to any of the loser RINO muderous lunatics running for that matter, apparently he could care less that innocent kids Bella's age in Iran could be obliterated into millions of pieces by the US Military's clusterbombs, on his signature on an illegal UnConstitutional Executive Order to unilaterally declare war against Iran.

thus the "pliant fools" part.

as you know, ALL polls are push polls intended to result in a pre-designed outcome.

it's Delphi Technique/Diamond Technique of surveying in order to produce a manufactured consent to make it 'seem' like it's some organic answer session from an 'informed' populace, when it never is.

god dang it, 21st century, with access to more info than anyone in history up till now could ever hoped or dream of having at one's fingertips, yet, people still rarely visit sites that veer off their accepted bubble of worldview.

that, is always the most frustrating part about modernity: it often only exponentially accentuates one's misinformed views. They simply have a larger echo chamber of stupidity.

so frustrating watching all this though: people simply don't change unless they have a deeply seated internal reason to do so.

Iran threatens to attack any country that assists 'enemies'

A senior Iranian military official says Tehran will attack any country used by "enemies" to launch a military strike against his country. The statement comes amid growing tensions between Iran and the West.

"Any spot used by the enemy for hostile operations against Iran will be subjected to retaliatory aggression by our armed forces," the deputy head of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, said Sunday according to Iran's Fars news agency.

The official did not name any particular country suspected of acting as a launching pad for military action against Iran, and the six Gulf Arab states considered to be US allies have said they would not allow their territories to be used for attacks on Iran...

Two Iranian naval ships have docked in the Saudi port of Jeddah. Iranian officials say the move aims to project the country's "power on the open seas" and “confront Iranophobia.”

The supply ship Kharg and destroyer Shaid Qandi docked on Saturday in the Red Sea port in line with orders from the Islamic Republic’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to Iran’s news agency, Fars.

“This mission aims to show the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the open seas and to confront Iranophobia,” Fars quoted navy commander Admiral Habibollah Sayari as saying...
