Obama got one based entirely on conjecture and false expectations.

Well put jetmba, that's EXACTLY what it was. Based on what ACTUAL deed was Obama given one? I mean, yeah, Teddy Roosevelt (a bloodthirsty warmonger himself) got one, but that was due to his mediating a settlement between Russia and Japan in their war.

the only way that the Nobel Peace Prize
committee can regain ANY legitimacy after awarding MURDERERS & WarCriminals like oBomBa and Kissinger with the same prize is WHEN they nominate and award Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul with it.
He is the ONLY public figure alive today who is deserving of it, as he has been a tireless champion of Individual Natural Rights for over 40+ yrs in private as well as in public life.
No One is deserving more of it. Period. End of Story.
Now, not that any of us has any real story on the circumstances of Manning, while it is commendable that those files got released, his own motive may or may not have been to stop the wars, murders, tortures, rapes, and the statist insanity. Until his intentions for releasing those documents become absolutely clear, beyond a shadow of a doubt, then perhaps he'd be 'deserving' of what that award, is at least supposed to be and mean.
Right now though, the ONLY person that should be awarded is Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul.

The effect that the awarding of the NPP to this champion of truth would have a galvanizing effect on the world-wide liberty movement.
Especially if he would still be in jail. There has never been an American NPP recipient that has been incarcerated at the time of the awarding of the prize.
