1. It's a open primary. You don't have to be registered as a Republican to vote for Paul.

3. 152 proportional delegates up at stake
Basically we must hope for and work to inform our fellow Texans about Ron Paul. Basically this is Paul's backyard, literally, and that we must suspect that Texans will vote for another Texan unless the voters are brainwashed by the media voting for Romney because he is the winner, Gingrich because he's a southerner and not as a 'moderate' conservative as he claims he is, and Santorum (if he's still around) due to the social conservative factor.
Despite the media ignoring Paul especially on the national big 3 evening news shows which is where people get their information who are the major voting parties we must step up with phone from home, whatever donations you can, get car bumper stickers (I have one and all I see are Paul or Obama 2012 here in Austin), and put out signs not just on your yards but busy roads.
This strategy needs to be applied to all of the states. Because Texas is my home state and the local news barley has stories on him (than just the feed from the headquarters to the affiliates) I can tell that either people will vote for the winner or the local boy.

Southern social conservatives
are probably like the ones here up north. They are especially fixated on beating Obama. I'm an usher at my Evangelical Church and I hear them talk.
Being a SOCIAL conservative, having "values" and telling other people what to do and how to live is not so risky, as it's become par for the course.
A FISCAL conservative is what we actually need! The reason we never get one is it requires a LOT more backbone. It requires the elected official to tell all the powerful special interests who are addicted to the easy money that they are being cut off.
Besides, someone with Santorum's approach to social policy might look good to Evangelical Christians at first, but when they find out the independents will not go for it, and they would lose to Obama, they'll drop him like an old shoe.
We need 5,000 of us here in Texas...
... promising to do all we can each to secure 100 votes for Ron Paul. I have 15 in the bag and will aim to add another two to to three every day until the primary. Dr. Paul got about 70,000 votes in 2008 and Huckster with 500,000 got second place. We have a mountain to climb.

I'll do my part in my precinct.
It has an old time existing chair so I won't be doing that job, but I was an alternate delegate last go around, which got to sit and vote! I'll be doing the same obviously. Lucky for me, I'm in his district. :)

Duke....I am too. We already have a chair as well.....but my wife and I are going to do our best to become delegates. Any pointers? What precinct are you in?

So I contacted the existing precinct chair...
...and he's tired of being the chair and wants to give it to me. So I'm going to step up for Ron Paul!
