How far along are the Maine Caucuses?

Just a ballpark percentage how many caucuses have there been and how many are there to go?

This seems to be a trend.

Please grab them and haul them to take care of business.

It would be great to WIN MAINE.

Good luck we did do so great in CO.

But I did walk away with a delegate.

And I say this about the young vote as they were not around in my district to vote. Again no shows, same situation in NV.

I am hearing all across CO no young voters, they make great sign wavers but when it comes to voting, MIA... Please take control.

Just saying meaning no disrespect to anyone.

It is what it is. Maine young folks please take the bull by the horns.

I sent off messages to the MN campaign staff to get him to Maine. RP spoke at one Congressional district with a lot of delegates and I heard he was well received. You are right he needs to be in Maine these last 2 days.... But send them emails to the campaign or call them.

Out of 16 total caucuses, Ron Paul has won 6 of 7 thus far with 9 more left to go.

Ron Paul has a 184 vote to 157 vote lead over Mitt Romney out of 419 total ballots cast. That works out to be 44% Paul to 37% Romney.

The lead Paul has now means nothing. Most of the big counties (largest population) haven't vote yet. They will do it on Feb 11 I think. Paul supporters in Maine must continue to get Paul more votes this lead is just not much of cushion from a Romney's late surge in these big counties.

If you look in all the other previous caucuses and primaries, the bigger precincts tend to favor Romney for some reason, so let's make sure we're hitting Portland and Augusta and any other major cities! Hopefully some college kids are out spending some time handing out super-brochures too!

We will not relinquish the lead because Ron Paul supporters in Maine WILL get out the vote!

Side note: For what it is worth, I made one Super Brochure Precinct buy in time for the early caucuses and it was 101 brochures in Knox county Cushing precinct. The results from that county were:

Gingrich 24
Paul 98
Romney 96
Santorum 32
Other 2

Now I can't sit here and tell you that my 101 Super Brochures sent was the deciding factor but can you tell me they weren't either?

This was by far the largest turn out County thus far in Maine. I don't know if that is coincidence or not, but the Super Brochures do not appear to have hurt the effort.

Pick a current state and buy some Super Brochures to mail. You can make a difference!

RP supporters in Maine should have the mentality that Paul is in last place there and continue to get people to vote until Feb 11 (even if you already voted, please find ways to get more vote for Paul). People in Minnesota were the first to give Paul a win over the "frontrunner" Romney, you can one up that by giving Paul his first win.

I am a 40 yr old middle class american 3 kids/wife etc...

I donate, work alot, pay my bills etc.

I don't have time to run around whipping up everyone into a RP Frenzy.

I am the Average American. Don't call me, Talk to me as I Am walking into a store and hand me a darn flyer.

Put up brochures in places around your towns that are easily accessible

This is your middle class american vote, I also used to watch the news all the time ( Fox/CNN) etc... Not any longer..

Super Brochures

Is it too early to start handing out super brochures in Massachusetts? I live in southeast Mass, so it's too far away from Maine to help up there, but I have 50 or 100 super brochures that I bought a while back. How can I best put them to good use? What's the best practice in terms of how far prior to a caucus/primary to hand out the materials? I would think you want to get them into people's hands close enough to the event that it's still in their minds, and not leave enough time for the MSM to pollute the message.

I caucused and voted last

I caucused and voted last Saturday. I brought along my son, his girlfriend and and a buddy from the next town over. We are all RP supporting delegates now. The Kennebec county caucus was electrified with RP support. I also stopped in to observe another caucus later in the day and it too was heavily RP. I have a very good feeling about this one. I'm feeling very proud of Mainers lately.
