Something that made me laugh...

...since Rick won on Tuesday the pundits have been repeating the idea that one of his advantages over the other candidates is that he's extremely likeable. He's a nice guy, mild mannered and kind.

Bwahahahahahaha!

He always struck me as less a nice guy and more of a...screaming through his teeth, blood-thirsty, angry latent homosexual, repressed, self-righteous, mean-spirited douchebag. But hey, what do I know...

Well, that is pretty

Well, that is pretty Orwellian isn't it? Santorscum, with the perpetual smirk appears to be that lord it over others type of authoritarian cretin. He seems to have a short fuse and resort to snidely tactics in the debates. His record shows me his is not a nice guy. Most of all I detect that he is prone to authoritarianism which is never results in a nice, mild mannered kind of guy.

I grew up in VA

Ron can win if the message gets out..

Government is supposed to protect our freedom, our property, our privacy, not invade it. Ron Paul 2007

Key word "IF " same here in California.....I cannot tell you

how many people I have run into who've said they have heard about Ron Paul, but they want to know more...and they feel the media is
not telling them more.....they are frustrated.

I feel California is there for the taking.....if they only had the message....probably every state is that way ...

Be cautious my friends.

Be cautious my friends. Virginia is a vote machine state...

Meaning?

Meaning?

juan maldonado

There is no paper trail to catch them stealing the vote. That's

what it means.

why have this type of system

why have this type of system then? wouldnt people see through it? then all the votes totals are fake then right? then how do we win, if they have control of the votes?

juan maldonado

Wait, your asking why do we have electronic voting machines?

Seriously?

To steal elections of course.

It's much easier than stuffing ballots or punching chads, or dumping ballots in the trash, locking them in a safe, taking them to your house. You might get caught.

But with paperless electronic systems, it's cinch.

You don't even need to hack any particular machines, though that is certainly possible. But again, you'll likely get caught.

No, you see the way to steal elections now is with what is termed the "central tabulator."

Essentially, in some form or another, cartridge, disk, tape, etc., the digital copy of the votes from each machine is sealed up and transmitted to someone in charge of elections to certify them.

They plug in this portable medium, and the data gets dumped to the computer they are on.

Here's the kicker. We don't know how many, but certainly SOME systems use a simple spreadsheet for this. An UNPROTECTED ONE that is NOT "read only."

Read that one again if you don't get it.

The person operating the "central tabulator" computer, can simply edit the vote right there with the cartridge from the machine plugged in and the vote is forever altered with NO way to get the original back. If they are clever enough, they can even change the timestamp on the file so it looks like they never did anything to it. (though being an unprotected file, it will automatically have its "modified" stamp changed anyway, so there's no way to know if it was just read, or in fact modified)

Some say, "but there are reports printed at the polling place sometimes even signed that can verify the original count."

True, but those are in the hands of the central tabulator as well.

All they need is a single machine, plug the edited cartridge back in, reprint the report, and transfer the signatures. (easy for anyone who can forge documents)

To some, this sounds too far fetched. But the reality, is there now is a very small "need to know" circle that has unfettered access to alter the vote. The real totals are never reported, only the made up ones.

If we had paper receipts, and those were part of the verification process, then we'd turn these machines into glorified calculators and printers. They'd still serve a purpose - faster vote counting and more accurate counting and verification. (no handwriting, no chads, no pencil marks, etc.) But it would be pretty damned hard to steal the election if you do it right. (3 carbon copy receipt, two of which must verify to count a vote)

As well, if you wanted to cover your bases better, you could simply put a hack on the storage medium.

This has been shown to be effective already on some systems.

The cartridge is inserted into the machine. The "zero" report is run. And it comes out zero as expected. But as the votes are counted, a program on the cartridge intercepts and alters the votes and then writes them. All that is needed is to input the offset of votes for a particular race.

For example, say you want candidate A to win.

Then you give candidate B an offset of say -30 votes for that machine. (or more, depending on the precinct and the likely turnout) Then as people vote, it will take 31 real votes for Candidate B to actually get a single recorded vote. If not enough people voted for B to prevent a negative count, a simple algorithm can choose a number to record that is less than Candidate A, or maybe even the real vote itself since it happens to be so low.

You could technically, even pre-program in the final vote tally you want. That way, people vote, the machine thinks it is writing them to the storage device, but the device is simply putting them elsewhere and/or deleting them. When you print the "results" they are of course not the true vote. And NO ONE save whomever programmed the cartridge and who ordered it, would know or need to know. (and most likely not want to know unless they were a regular voter)

Votes are counted by party volunteers-- VOLUNTEER

Plus Chairman, etc oversee the count. You are supposed to be joining your local GOP and bringing in new supporters and voting out the RINOS.

Ron Paul can win when/if he reaches a 'critical mass' where vote fraud is not desired enough by those who are doing/overseeing the counting.

IE, if you have one person among a group who is a notable watchdog, you're going to be on your guard.

If you have many watchdogs, someone's head is going to fall.

When is that gonna be? I mean these people are evil. They killed JFK! I think the only way to do this Is to expose the establishment, maybe some people on the inside. Idk. I want the truth to get out before its to late, you know?

Not saying they will actually

Not saying they will actually do it... but hoping the campaign is doing and others are doing all they can to ensure a fair election on all state elections. All most of us can do is phone bank and make sure to come out in full force when it's to vote. :)

Because Virginia does not register voters by political party,

all qualified voters may vote in the Republican Primary.

This gets very very interesting. Conservatives, Libertarians, evangelicals, Independents and blue Republicans will be voting. This is stacked for Ron Paul. I wonder if Sarah Palin would tell Virginians that if she were from Virginia, that she would vote for Ron Paul.

Basically all the anti-Romney votes that was suppose to go to Newt and Frothy will now go to Paul.

Perception is reality.............................

Santorum has always seemed Kinky to me.........that stupid smirk and cocky attitude....he's just as immature as Obama....

CaliforniaGirlForPaul

Since we're focusing on delegates,

just remember Virginia is a proportional State. Even with just Paul and Romney running, they'll each get a good slice of pie.

alan laney

how many delegates does Ron

how many delegates does Ron Paul win if we come in 2nd? is there a way to figure that out?

juan maldonado

Better yet

not that santorum is linked to Sandusky but that he was a board member for The Israel Project. That explains his radical foreign policy.

Excerpt from Wikipedia The Israel Project.

Criticism of TIP includes describing it as "a right-wing media advocacy group" using "pro-settlement fear-mongering talking points" which are "incendiary, dangerous, and counterproductive",[3] and argue that its rhetoric and alliance with figures "far outside the mainstream of American politics" only serves to simultaneously undermine the image of the State of Israel and TIP's stated purpose.[4

The Hill article is really disguised psyops

a) Gingrich and Santorum will NEVER tell their voters to vote for RP why? because they are controlled and RP is not. They are PART OF the Romney/RNC machine

b) The mass media has picked up on now RP supporters not showing up to polls due to various reasons, thinking "we got it already" or due to thinking their vote wont matter or whatever other reason

This hit piece is designed to encourage RPers to STAY HOME.

Our message needs to be different: MASS MOBILIZATION / PEDAL TO THE METAL 100% of the time from now until the RNC convention in Tampa.

That means quit posting this crap and quit worrying about it. Make calls for Paul and rent vans to drive supporters to polls. Call them at 6am before work and tell them you'll be there at 6:30 for a free van ride.

Or whatever.

EVERY MAN TO THE POLLS NOW!

RPers Stay @ Home?

Man I can't think of anything more absurd. For the first time in most people's lives, Ron gives them something to vote for, some reason to get up off the couch, find out where there polling place is, get down there and strike a blow for freedom. He gives them something to feel good about in the political process...I can't imagine any RP supporter save an invalid and an expat not putting in that effort.

Karl rove just that Romney

Karl rove just that Romney will win Virginia, he was on fox and friends. I hate that man! He's wanted for crimes against humanity, him and bush
