We're being infiltrated now more than ever

By those that want to discourage us, or convince us to vote for someone else.

The good news is, this really does mean we are seen as a threat that can win. Don't believe anything the media says, and don't get discouraged.

Press on even harder!

For liberty!

For ever constant and continuous comments

for the entire day of DP membership in the cause of Newt
Gingrich today, I nominate Flossophy as the Troll of the Day.

LOL!

Troll of the Day! Nice idea!

We the People's picture

The infiltration continues to increase!

Our goal should be to show them all the truth.

Most of us were all deceived at one time.

We can help them.

Ha! The Jokes On Them!

If They Stay Long enough they'll turn to our side for sure. Then we will have double agents at our disposal XD

OK, but don't over-react.

Don't scare off the the newbies by declaring them to be trolls when they raise objections to the philosophy or question the way things are done. We've all started from a point of ignorance before arriving here.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

1st I will never vote for a Neo Con.

second, They can learn a great deal from the truth. Feel free people to come in and learn about liberty and freedom!
You will never find anythingh like this on Obama's, Santorum's, Romney's or Captian Kangaroo's blogs. So I welcome all you trolls to keep reading and absorbing the greatest bastion of ideas you will ever get on the web! :)

I seen a comparison to The Neweted resembling Captian Kangaroo earlier this evening. I crack up every time I think about it. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!

let them infiltrate. they can come sit down and smell my dirty socks i've not taken off since before thanksgiving. that ought to do it.

We the People, I belonged to a cult once....

...and they said practically the same things you have said here.

They said that persecution was a sign that the church was presenting a real threat to Satan and his empire. They also told us "don't believe ANYTHING" the naysayers say. And they even told us to "press on even harder".

The fallacies in all this were that naysayers are not generally wrong about EVERYTHING, people can oppose you for some valid reasons sometimes, and "pressing on even harder" is really dumb if you are in error on some matter.

As someone who is generally supportive of the stated goals of the Ron Paul movement, I often look for a find ways to make it BETTER. What I find, however, is a general resistance to anything that might be deemed as "critical", even if it is in the spirit of "constructive criticism".

This is a really nasty habit that keeps groups from growing. Instead, they get stuck and the people in them become calloused and dull. They are no longer in avid search of new information and paradigms, but become defenders of their own new status quo. They become as dull as are those they previously shunned for greener pastures.

It would be a MUCH stronger movement if its members were all encouraged to THINK and to WEIGH the evidence and to engage in making the argument themselves. All this is to be preferred to putting on blinders and putting in the ear plugs. Neither lies NOR truth can make it past the ear plugs.

Is this really what you want?

What he said... But I have

What he said...

But I have seen a blog that watches Ron Paul forums and picks out the bad comments and places them out of context to make Ron Paul supporters look like racist nutjobs.

Freedom Broadcasting Network - independent grassroots network

lol some of them really are

lol some of them really are racist nutjobs. Unfortunately freedom brings people together. Even racists.

You make good points

I think the difference here (as the replier below me has pointed out) - is that the Liberty message - when properly understood - is a logical, moral, legal, common sense, and defensible.

Whenever a sincere question or concern comes up on a thread, within a very short time not one - but multiple - informed individuals give a thorough and respectful response.

More often than not, from what I've seen the original poster is satisfied and comes around to a greater understanding of the question ... and is an even more solid supporter for it.

I agree that there this board - like any board - has it's share of 'bandwagon jumping' and witch hunting based on board seniority, post count, and other such nonsense.

That comes with the territory. Don't ever see getting rid of that completely. Its human nature, tribal status seeking instincts and whatnot - and that is virtually reflected in social media.

But because the Liberty message is a message of individual freedom, sound money, peace and strength, and is the bedrock of the foundations of everything that ever made American great ....

Those voices don't dominate. This will never be a cult.

(besides ... ever try and herd cats into a cult?)

Not every comment needs to be

Not every comment needs to be spun in a positive fashion for 'rallying' purposes. Ron Paul's cause makes so much sense, that even the most pessimistic people in the world, come to support it, and this is where the 'critical' comments come from.

Don't see this as a bad thing! We don't always have to be as mindlessly hopeful about everything as the Obama voters are. Being negative and critical is some people's way of making sure they stay on top, improve, and don't get burnt in the end!

So I agree with this message. Not sure what cult it was you belonged to though...

Bring people with you. Get people to go who normally wouldn't. Multiply your vote!

We the People's picture

You criticize pressing on harder for liberty?

And don't get discouraged?

What cult did you belong to?

Gee, We!

I didn't write to pick a fight, but it just so happens that the style of your RESPONSE is still in keeping with the cultish style of your original post.

For those who don't see it, you've reframed my entire post into a strawman assertion that I'm criticizing the call to action and the call not to be discouraged. This is an intentional dodge of my very clear intent, which was to criticize your METHOD and STRATEGY.

You are not writing to address ME, therefore, but to further reinforce your message in the eyes of your intended audience. This is dishonest, of course, and irresponsible.

Jack

You

Sound like a shill

Yes, if I disagree with you....

...then I simply MUST be a paid "shill" for the bad guys. It only stands to reason.

I can see now that it is a sin to disagree with someone who considers himself to be a sincere activist---no matter how irrational, erroneous, base, or dishonest his argument may be. Clearly, his desire to see a good thing happen trumps all his faults, and it is a petty thing even to notice them, and much more so, to dare to point one out. Obviously, the intended end justifies the means.

Funny, though, I'm not feeling the remorse yet.

Jack

His?

Misogyny much?

P.S. noone's falling for your "sense"

Ergo?

"P.S. noone's falling for your 'sense'

And?

Do you mean to suggest that since "noone's falling for it", that it is not sound? If so, that would be an instance of the logical fallacy called the "appeal to popularity".

Indeed, by that same logic, could you not also condemn Ron Paul on account of the lion's share votes going to the other candidates?

This is all rhetorical, mind you, as I expect there can be no intelligent response to it.

Infiltrators

spin criticism in a divisive or discouraging way. Suppporters frame criticism in a rallying way...as in c'mon people lets do this so that we can win. When people use phrases like "the campaign is failing..." it really is suspicious, because this type of phrasing is innefective for getting a point accross, but very effective towards getting supporters to infight.

How short-sighted, Americasos.

First of all, it is a matter of FACT that "the campaign is failing". Not one person on this entire forum believes that Ron Paul has WON any caucus or primary yet. And why not? Because of the FACTS. So right off the bat, we can see that you are delusional.

Secondly, you say that such a statement "really is suspicious, because this type of phrasing is ineffective for getting a point across." No, it's only ineffective for delusional people who refuse to admit the truth when they see it. To others, it can be quite effective at getting a point across. Oh, and if it is "effective towards getting supporters to infight", the only division it would cause would be between the delusional folks and the non-delusional folks.

Is that a bad thing?

Wait, don't answer that.

Let them come

The infiltrators may read some of this and become educated.

"Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past you must fight just to keep them alive"

They are educated

To be an effective infiltrator you need to know the enemy (what they believe, what they stand for) because an effective infiltrator must also be an effective impersonator.

Also what drives the enemy infiltrator (federal reserve notes from a printing press) is not the same thing that drives RP and his supporters (truth, justice and liberty). But I agree... welcome them... but not to be educated but to have their consciences convicted. For unlike Ron Paul and his fervent supporters, many do not enjoy a sweet night's sleep after a hard day's work.

and not just by GOPers

I've noticed it more and more lately on forums, and I'm curious if you all see it, too. So many of the posters who pile on Ron Paul with witless name-calling can be traced as Obama supporters. He's been getting the ad hominem attacks from all sides. In fact, it's getting to the point where when I notice a blatant attack, I wonder first if it's from a Democrat.

It makes sense, of course. Paul really is the anti-Obama candidate, and their strongest competitor.
