Each has a billionaire backing his campaign

Ron Paul has us and maybe some more infusions from the PayPal founder guy-his name escapes me atm- so no one is going anywhere. I suspect that in the days just before the convention they'll likely merge into one lane and yield to the chosen one (likely Mitt) and it will be RP vs the chosen one at the convention. Honestly I dont think any of them actually know who the chosen one is yet. I think they all still have hope they could be the one. But I think they agreed to the deal- that when they get the call, they drop out and endorse the chosen one- no questions asked. If they are willing to cheat in these other places, you can be sure they'll try to cheat a delegate vote at the convention too. That's their house, why wouldn't they? They need to be watched like a hawk.

is there REALLY a concerted

is there REALLY a concerted campaign ongoing where RP supporters are getting themselves voted delegates to OTHER candidates, with the idea of flipping at the convention?

If so, does anyone have proof of this happening?

There is a lot of anecdotal

There is a lot of anecdotal evidence, but no hard data. The campaign may have some data, but they're not sharing it.

What happens if none drop out?

Say they all get to the convention, and say Paul has 20% of the (first round) delegates, Gingrich and Santorum each have 25% and Romney has 30%. What is the process at that point?

;)

"What if the candidate that

"What if the candidate that drops out endorses another candidate"

Even if a candidate endorses another candidate it in no way binds their delegates to their endorsement, those delegates are still free to vote for whom they wish.

I think this point is just as important. If Gingrinch and Santoram stay in the race until the end, we are garunteed a brokered convention. As we have seen, Romney cant seem to take more than 30-40% in most cases which means he is very unlikely to have half the delagates at the end; unless of course he wins big against Ron Paul in the states where its just the two of them.
If they dont stay in and drop out/endorse someone, then all their delagates become unbound and can vote for whoever they wish. If those delegates are Paul supporters, then we are garunteed to get a boost.
Eitherway, if lots of delegates for the other not-romneys are Paul supporters and the not-romneys stay in long enough, I think we would end up winning. Anyone who becomes a delagate should keep this in mind.

What worries me..

is they gather a couple hundred delegates and then drop out. If they are Santorum or Gingrich supporters they will more likely support the other and that may put them on top.

Which is why I'm glad that our people have become

Delegates for other candidates in some cases, they may try this and it could backfire on them.

This is exactly why

We want an even split of delegates between the other 3 candidates... The movement is catching on... Pauls numbers grow by the day.. if we can get to the convention with a Delegate lead at the end... with say one or two of the other candidates dropping out and most of the bound delegates being RP people or people we captured along the way... We win!

if they were bound

they become unbound..

YES

Then they can vote for who they want. In addition, the way I understand it, if they get to the National Convention and no one has the magic 1100 delegates then all the delegates become unbound.

50% + 1 for the Nomination

1144 is the 'magic number' for 50% + 1

Rights are like muscles; you must exercise them to keep them fit, or they will atrophy and die.
