Super Brochure - Florida and Missouri
Submitted by Larry12 on Wed, 02/08/2012 - 13:45Despite several requests, RP Products is not providing us the map for Florida and Missouri.
These are the only two states where we can check effectiveness. The rest were either all in or none mailed (Yes I know lots of handouts in NH).
I give up on Florida. From what I am guessing it didn’t make a difference. But I don't know since data is not available.
Missouri. Where did we do relatively better among 115 counties? I am guessing we filled appr 8 counties?
Mercer 28% - no longer available so I assume we sent to everyone in county?
Clark 22% - no longer available so I assume we sent to everyone in county.
McDonald 22% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Daviess 21% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
St Louis City (not the county) 20% - available. My recollection was that we filled this. I must have been wrong.
Shannon 20% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Ozark 19% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Douglas 19% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Crawford 19% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Boone 18% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Grundy 18% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Schuyler 17% - available (did we send to any precincts at all?)
Sullivan 17% - Sent to all except one small precinct
So we filled 100% in the top two counties. Unless I am wrong (my research took 10 min). Out of top 13 counties (above 17%) we filled one more, Sullivan.
115 counties. We filled maybe 8 counties. We hit the top two. Could be counties where RP supporters are strong from before. Most likely.
But since we don’t have good data for Fl and Missouri we will never know.

Super Brochures worked for me in Florida
The super brochures did make a difference for me in Florida. A few people in my county bought boxes of super brochures. I was given stacks to hand out. No brochures were mailed to voters in my precinct. I walked the precinct and talked to voters. Many voters had made up their minds and would not take the brochure or even talk to me. Mitt Romney even came in person to my town of 37,000. I know that the super brochure made a difference because I had voters tell me they changed their vote to Ron Paul because of the information I provided them. Out of 631 Republican voters 63 voted for Ron Paul in my precinct. I believe that my talking to voters in my precinct doubled the turnout for Ron Paul. My county (Pinellas) went 10% for Ron Paul because many Ron Paul supporters did what I did or they mailed super brochures to the voters in their precinct.
Great work
Great work Sue. I think the evidence so far tells us that SB can hit 1-5%. And then slowly build the base. Once in a while we hit the 'connecters' who get converted and starts converting others right away.
Handing out one-on-one, like you did, is of course much more effective.
