What's next after Maine?

Okay, after we get our moment in the sun saturday ;) what's next. Arizona would be a complete waste of time in my opinion simply because it is winner take all. Not to discredit anyone from there. I still urge you guys to do what you can do. It"s either Michigan or Washington for us We are a serious threat in Washington, however, we have some strong support in Michigan. What would you guys rather do? Go to Michigan for feb. 28 or go straight to Washington and try to grab a win right before Super Tuesday. I am leaning more toward Washington but maybe we will visit Michigan a time or two. Lets devise a gameplan

MAN THE BATTLESHIPS!

Remember the Maine!
Then avenge the Arizona!

The Arizona primary is prior to April 1 or 4 (can't recall the date)... Therefore with ANY challenge, it will be a proportional delegate award (just like Florida will be).

Ron Paul has to play 'Balls Out' FTW!

Is Paul

going to Maine this week at all?

Good Question

I think we NEED to be there saturday. We have to make our first win a big deal. You know the media won't cover it anymore than they have too unless we make a winning speech. This is very important. And it is also going to be a huge step for our fight. I am seriously going to get emotional if in fact we do make this happen.

Thank you guys for responding

Okay i definately respect the comment below me. I agree, I don't want to ignore Arizona. I mean we just won a straw poll there. But to spend time and money there for ZERO delegates...to me, its a waste of our campain money. I believe that the super pacs and/or grassroot activists should take control of Arizona. I just believe if we spend an entire week or two in Washington we can win. However, a strong third place finish is vital for Michigan. I also think we should be visiting some super tuesday states very soon. Sure we need to visit our strong holds...But i am pleading our campain to fight in Virginia. Unless they are getting a really bad sign there, we need to beat Romney one on one. That would be the "moment" that could surge us too win states that we wouldn't normally contest in.

You don't..

..ignore a state just because it is a winner take all primary. Merely showing up and making a few stops can make a difference symbolically. Never ignore.

Besides Main, and Washington, Where else can we Win?

Looking at a long term strategy, what states can we pull off? I don't want to come across as a downer, I'm just curious what you people think?

Where we can win...

...Idaho, Montana, N. Dakota, Wyoming, Alaska.

...and possibly: Michigan, Louisiana, Vermont, Puerto Rico

And of course the outcome of the latest and largest States turns largely on our performance in the next couple States. So nothing is ruled out completely.

If the campaign has to prioritize...

...I think we should go after the low-hanging fruit in Washington. We should aim to WIN Washington outright, and place in Michigan.

My reasoning is that a 1st in WA and a 3rd in MI is better than a 2nd in MI and a 2nd in WA. Not sure how it works out delegate-wise, but in terms of the psychological effect on the masses, a win is all that matters.

Of course, ideally we can go hard and play to win in both States. I think that we need to make a stand soon, and put all our chips (read: money) on the table. I hope the campaign (and the PACs) are investing a lot in ads in those two States. A win in WA and a show in MI, let alone two wins, would make us very competitive for Super Tuesday.

Arizona

I agree that spending a lot of resources in AZ would be a mistake but I disagree about no campaign stops there. It was a mistake to have no rallies and thus no local media coverage in FL and lose momentum from NH and SC. Totally ceding the field to your competition effectively takes you out of the game totally and the local media that then translates into the national media ignores you (and rightfully so) because you are not even in the game.

bumpppp

felt like this needed some attention
