Lean Start up method

I've been feeling guilty lately because I haven't been able to donate this cycle. But what made me feel better is the wins I've been getting in person.
Its very difficult to deal with a lot of these people but I'm finding success incorporating the lean methodology. In 07 I used to preach RP and came off sounding like I was trying to convert someone's religion.
I read the lean startup for my well startup business but transitioned it to RP / freedom message.
In the method it talks about getting your product out there even its most beta (minimally viable product) form and then in person ask the questions, observe the usage and then make the changes the customer needs. Always developing the product on what you learned. Always giving the customer the minimally viable product.
This also works with the message. If you over do it or combat every single concern with well Ron Paul get it right it becomes a turn off. The message as a whole is awesome but it is like a Microsoft product it does so much it becomes overwhelming or confusing.
The trick is to give them just enough to be useful and then start directing them to the Ron Paul information sites allowing them to self discover. Then they feel as if they were the ones who found Ron Paul.
Further when opening up the conversations with them you need to find their concern. I think it was joe in MO who made the simple comment to the older folks Ron Paul served don't vote for a draft dodger. Do you see how simple this can be? The super brochure is overwhelming. And aside from college kids people who have been out of school for awhile do not know how to research or learn.
I have one guy I work with who is damn stubborn. Huge Romney supporter and will default to whomever the GOP nom is. His biggest concern is Ron Paul is unelectable. So I started out with he has been elected 12 times as a republican congressman. Conversation ended. Saw him on a break a few days later. He made some snide comment about Romney winning NH. And I said Ron Paul came in second. He said his foreign policy won't work, I responded he gets more donations blah blah you get the point.
We need to keep adjusting our talk to these hard to reach people.
Final note: keep pushing on these types of customers but I stress DO NOT waste a bunch of time on them. You can awaken 30+ people in the time it takes you to awaken 1.
