Ron Paul and South Park. LET'S EMAIL MATT AND TREY
Submitted by JoeMO on Wed, 02/08/2012 - 22:09Hey Paulites I was thinking that new episodes of South Park will come on in a month, and i thought about Matt and Trey's political leanings. They have always been viewed as socially liberal, but i think they also have a mean dose of libertarian. So i think we should find out how to get a hold of them and remind them that there is a great candidate out there to finally back. In 2008 they abused the whole bipartisan agenda by stating that MCCain Obama election was just to get into the white house to pull off a heist. A distrust in the system. they are so anti-establishment. So i think that we should muster up the old Ron Paul crowed and give them an email filled with letters about Ron Paul. Or atleast for them to humiliate the snake formerly known as Mitt Romney. Or the Grinch who stole South Carolina. Or the Frothy mixture of...well you know. Lets give them all this golden material. They listened about that copper cab kid, and they made a hilarious parody.
South Park. Matt Stone, Trey Parker. also, Bill Hader has connections to them. And any other celebrity. Vince Vaughn already has our backs along with Joe Rogan And CHUCK NORRIS. oh and kelly clarkson lol, they live somewhere in Boulder Colorado. We need their endorsement!!!!!!!!!

We got nothing to lose
Whatever the case may be. Fact: they are libertarians. Fact: Paul has less to be afraid of then the other 3 candidates. Fact: We got nothing to lose and more to gain. Yes, maybe people who watch south park are already Paul fans, but that doesnt mean they are actively participating. This could ignite them to become even more passionate.
So college kids can...
...watch it, laugh and then not vote? Is it probable that South Park "viewers" care much about America's reclamation? I doubt it.
I repectfully disagree
Virtually everyone I know who watches South Park also happens to be a Ron Paul supporter...which is exactly why I don't see this endorsement as a needed one; it'd just be more preaching to the choir.
Also, why put viewers in quotes, as if they're not really viewing it? A lot of "people" on this "site" seem to like putting "seemingly" random "words" in "quotes".

Double-edged sword
Any email campaign to persuade Matt and Trey to bring publicity to an issue could bring the kind of publicity you don't need. They are equal-opportunity offenders, and could treat any negative aspect of Ron's life as fair game. Ron Paul supporters would likely be kicking a hole in their TVs by the first commercial break.
This will end badly. They are
This will end badly.
They are Hollywood cogs, and Hollywood doesn't like freedom or liberty.
I agree.
This is a TERRIBLE idea. They will tear his ass apart on the news letters, trust me. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS.
Not seeing it
They've done several episodes on how ridiculous hate crime laws and Affirmative Action are, so I don't think they'd harp on Dr. Paul for something like that. If anything, they'd probably parody the "queer as blazes!" scene from Borat.
Also, they're both admitted libertarians. He is their only logical choice. (key word being logical, of course, so who knows with those two lol).

lol be careful what you wish for
their twist on the "RP Revolution" would have Ron Paul being the most sane person in the universe- maybe even Jesus come to Earth in disguise with no actual political goal, but just a desire to speak wisdom into all the total crazy, paranoid nutcases who are left- and all non-RP supporters are in on it and at the end we all come together, united as one under Betty White- the 1st female president.
They already did the obama conspiracy
after he got elected. He and Mccain stole all the gold, and acted like CIA agents. The cops bust in a 9/11 truthers' office and george bush executes him in the oval office.
If I'm not mistaken, I
If I'm not mistaken, I believe they stated in the '6 days to air' video that they do not take viewer suggestions.

I love Matt & Trey, BUT.....
They're not political pitch men, they're comedic writers/artists who equally offend EVERYONE. In a way, they've been promoting Dr. Paul's message for years and years, but they do so in a round about "toilet humor" way. You can rest assured, they won't be endorsing RP on South Park, and I don't think we'd really want that to happen anyway. If you think the religious right hates us now, just imagine what they'd do if they thought we were somehow affiliated with South Park. It'd be nice if Trey & Matt would donate to REVPAC or somethin', but aside from that, I don't think we should pressure them to do much more. They've made numerous in roads for the libertarian movement and will continue to do so in their own way. p.s. seasoned writers hate getting show ideas from fans.

SUBJECT MUST BE HANDLED WELL
Cannot make fun of Ron Paul. Rather, other characters hate on him, and then their hilarious hypocrisy is revealed.
So, Paul is neutral. If they want they can make it about 'dumb republicans'.
I would love it if they made Paul seem a little weird at first, 'crazy conspiracy', with all of South Park's over the top military guys and whatever.
Then at the end, the characters realize: "He's a conspiracy theorist! He thinks that the American economy would actually under perform. He thinks that killing a dictator risen from a war against another dictator we sponsored then killed, after following this other dictator we sponsored than killed, recently after we killed another dictator that we once sponsored while we're trying to get the UN to take out a fourth dictator... would provoke that dictator to try to protect himself from us! ... He thinks that people should be able to do what they want and supports the constitution. He'll never beat that Obama who tries to tell us what to do and tramples on the constitution. WHAT A KOOK"
Through in a hook at Hannity or something saying the thing about Obama and the hypocrisy.
OOOOHHH!
Hannity: Yeah Tea Party
(interviews someone about Ron Paul success)
Dude: Yeah, Ron Paul supports the constitution.
Hannity: Crazy! Kook! Not a conservative!
Dude: Well, actually, the Tea Party you just talked about also supports the constitution.
Hannity: F the Tea Party!
Please let me do the soundtrack!

These guys are genii. Or, at least they were. My best presumption tells me they're already cookin something up, trying to do it justice, but the story just keeps getting better and better. On the other hand, maybe they're just getting old, losing that edge they once had?..
!
The Genii cannot be trusted. They already tried jacking C-4 and a ZED-PM, for goodness sake! Nope, I do not trust them, especially that shifty Ladon Radim.
oh wait
wrong genii

Target audience?
I could be way off base here, but I think we should be targeting the over-30 crowd, as well as women. I doubt an endorsement via South Park would do much good in that respect.
Ironically, real journalism would reveal to American citizens that broadcast news has become a racket.
Also
I was under the impression that most South Park fans were Ron Paul supporters anyhow.
I don't think hounding them for an endorsement is a very good idea, though. Oddly enough, they don't seem to like getting too political outside of their work.
That said, I've seen people throw around worse (or rather, less effective) names for potential endorsements.

HOWEVER, if they ever try to convey a message in their cartoons (debatable), it'd seem their opinions on monetary policy would be opposed to Paul's view; see Margaritaville.
