Final Thoughts From My Nevada Precinct 1677 Experience

My name is Bob Tracey. I post here as bobspirit. I got access to the campaign votertracker system in November, and that is when I started walking my precinct.

Out of the hundreds of registered republicans in my precinct, 16 showed up. 12 went for Paul, 2 for Santorum, 2 for Romney, and 1 for Gingrich. 5 delegates, all for Paul. Here are my observations and perceptions.

First and foremost, this is winnable. But it can only happen face to face, one heart and mind at a time. I learned this walking my precinct and talking to people. Phone calls, mailing, and e-mails are poor substitutes for a live human being.

31 precincts were gathered at Silverado high school, and a volunteer was needed for each to act as a caucus chair and run the meeting in which delegates were chosen, and the presidential poll taken. As we only has 10 volunteers, someone had to figure out who was going to chair all of these precincts. I took it upon myself to go into the other 21 precinct meetings and recruit a volunteer to chair, and a volunteer to assist, and then gave them a crash course on how to chair the meeting, which was fun since I hadn't even done my own yet.

I began each meeting the same way. I expressed gratitude to every American who bothered to get up early on a chilly Saturday morning and show up to contribute to the change in leadership we seek. I stressed our unity as AMERICANS, not as Republicans.

Do I think you have be pretty much brain dead to vote for anyone other than Paul, hell yes I do, and I have the equivalent of a doctorate in economics to prove it, but guess what? What you resist, persists, and you don't win over hearts and minds with anything other than love.

I handled my meeting pretty easily, and then went back to the cafeteria where everything was being tabulated.

I observed and assisted in collecting sealed envelopes with indiviual ballots inside them for all 31 precincts. Another Paul supported there took a picture of each one. While I did not total them, I am fast with numbers. It was clear Romney was ahead, and Santorum and Gingrich all zeroes and single digits. Clearly, from what I saw, Paul was going to take second. Lots of mormons here, and they were organized and plentiful, but few were willing to go the extra mile to be a delegate ($40 bucks please!). Paul will get a proportion of delegates far exceeding the actual votes.

I do not know how the vote count was swung over to Gingrich, but I do know the clark county party chair, Dave Gibbs, is an ardent Gingrich supporter. However it was done, we got beat, so I support the campaign decision to move on.

So what did I learn? I learned the people who we perceive to be our adversaries are also our countrymen, and it is only through unity with our countrymen that liberty will be restored.

We Paul supportes understand the nature of our debt slavery, but even the average politically active republican and democrat have no idea that they were born into a system of modern feudalism. They simply do not know.

They are not the enemy. Ignorance and fear are the enemy.

For if they did know, what would they do? They would join us, wouldn't they?

The bankers have ruled over civilization now since 1693, over 300 years. It is a monetary system based in fear, fear that there is not enough so I must have more, and it is coming to it's unaviodable demise.

It is dying because it is man's nature to love, yet every day life presents us with the choice between fear and love. This choice is present in every single moment of life, and it cannot be avoided.

If liberty will prevail, it is because we chose love.

This battle cannot be lost. It isn't possible. Yet along the way we are going to run into hardened GOP operatives, people in this system far longer than we, who will want to cling to the illusion of their power. They believe to have power, they must take it from you. We know better.

We know liberty for all spreads and multiplies power, so that there is more than enough to go around.

So it isn't enough to show up. We must deal with our own fears so that THE REAL US shows up. The ones tapped into the divine source of power that lives in each of us.

Ghandi taught us that we must be the change we wish to see in the world. So ask yourself, how can I serve myself, my family, and my country, with love. Act on that answer.

If we show up with the power of love, what can stand against that? Look at our leader. He teaches us that every day. Are we not listening?

Me, I'm going to go find Dave Gibbs this week and see if he needs any help. Jeez, he supports Gingrich, I figure he's freaking desperate, lol.

So let's skip the troll fears, everyone who visits is our countrymen, and lets do what we need to do to manage OUR fears so we can help the poor schmucks who really believe IRAN is our most dangerous enemy, and not the SOBS that are printing our money.

Anyone wants to write to me, I am at bobspirit56@gmail.com.

Love to all my countrymen and women.

Peace out from Las Vegas.

TRULY INSPIRING!

Thank you, that truly is inspiring!Sometimes talking to the blind or hard-hearted is really difficult and discouraging. I think I will bookmark & read this again when I am having a difficult day getting through to others.

First of all, Thanks for your hard work!

But a couple of things I have to disagree with you on. In my opinion, the people that prevented Dr Paul from winning or at least comming in second in Nevada know the truth very well about the debt slavery in this country. They are evil people not ignorant. The people that did not show up to vote are ignorant and must be, can be, and will be taught the truth. As your own experience shows and most other people with boots on the ground there, as a percntage Dr. Paul did very well. Low voter turnout favors Dr. Paul. There is no doubt in my mind that fraud took place. Think of te ramification of a Paul 1st or 2nd place win in Nevada. Think of the MSM press coverage they would have had to give him. The tyrannts that are in control of this country could not allow that at any cost. If the fraud is uncoverd now they will simply not cover it so I'm afraid there is not much that can be done except to learn that they will continue to steal this election if we allow it. My state has came and gone but for the rest of you out there be aware of the fraud, record the vote when ever possible. Make impossible if that is possible to stop the fraud. Again, Thanks for your hard work where it really counts Bobspirit.

Hello Bob Spirit

Trolls are not those who believe “IRAN is our most dangerous enemy.” Trolls know Iran is not our most dangerous enemy, trolls know the republic is being taken down by the banksters… trolls know all these things, Bob, because trolls work for them.

I appreciate your commentary but we are currently in a dog-eat-dog war to save the Republic against a very evil and cunning enemy.

When you say “the people we perceive to be our adversaries are also our countrymen.”

Why do you use the collective term “we” meaning all RP supporters? Speaking for myself as an individual, there is only one adversary in this war and it is not fellow countrymen who are asleep, ignorant, deceived and misinformed. I, as an individual, do not “perceive” them as adversaries because they are the ones that RP supporters are trying to save… they are the Republic. So if you think “we” (all RP supporters) perceive their fellow countrymen as adversaries (the enemy) you are in error.

But I really think the gist of your commentary is a response to a thread that talks about infiltrators when you say, “So let's skip the troll fears, everyone who visits is our countrymen.”

Well I have to disagree because trolls work for the establishment which is controlled by the bankers. Trolls are not asleep, ignorant or misinformed... trolls know exactly what they are doing... they are deliberately working with those (the criminal establishment run by the global bankers) to destroy the Republic. That is not a definition of a fellow “countryman” Bob. That is the definition of a mortal enemy.

Now these trolls are very concerned about being exposed because they must maintain cover at all costs and there’s nothing more that they would like then for RP supporters to take your advice and welcome their infiltrating without a challenge. I have no doubt Bob that the trolls will rate this thread up because they hate threads that discuss their methods and tactics of deception.

I noticed that you did slightly touch on the real enemy, “The bankers [who] have ruled over civilization now since 1693, over 300 years” and you said they will come to an “unavoidable demise” and that “It is dying because it is man's nature to love.”

Well this sounds very nice and New Agey Bob, but I disagree with this on many levels. It’s not “man’s nature” to go around loving everybody as evident by our history of several thousand years of war and pillage. In fact there was one who came and walked this earth in pure love, blameless, who also had a powerful message and was tortured to death by those who didn’t have this “man’s nature of love” you speak about.

In fact this one who came and walked among us blameless and in pure love advised his followers “to be watchful”… to be “as wise as serpents and gentle as doves” and to “test the spirits.”

So Bob since this is war, and a very serious one because at stake is the future of the Republic and the rest of the world since currently the Republic is going around blowing innocent people to bits, it is very important as a soldier of liberty to know exactly who the enemy is, their tactics and to gird oneself with the appropriate weapons of war so they can effectively deal with all the enemy's deceptive and cunning tactics.

Wow!

Thank you for this post. Yes, 1 heart at a time. I have talked about Paul to at least one person everyday since 2007. I heard that where I work (restaurant) most of the people voted for Paul this year. Was it because of me??? Who knows. I know some did. I had 2 dems. switch party to vote for him in the primary. I had a customer from 4 years ago tell me this year he was going to vote for Paul for me. He came in 2nd in N.H. in a primary. That is incredible. That is the lazy way to vote too.

The time is late but keep talking liberty every chance you get and "we" are winning. Will Paul win? I pray that he will. In one way he already won.

Let me add some practicality

Let me add some practicality to your warm sentiments. This face-to-face love you are speaking about has great value, but not if it is tardy.

Dr. Ron Paul needs several hundred Ronverts every day, across 14 states, for the next 27 days and beyond*, or the movement will not be big enough to create the legislative change that MUST precede the realization of a constitution-sized government.

Love, yes. But love NOW.

* that's not what's needed to win BTW, that's the minimum needed to build and maintain a voting block that can't be ignored.

The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.

I told(converted) two people and then

each of them told(converted) two people...

And I kept a list of the converted and physically brought them to the polls.

real involvement

Bob, Thanks for your real involvement. A few points that jumped out at me:
Use votertracker to get data on registered Republicans.
Take a votertracker walk list for face-to-face conversations.
At caucus, arrive early and get involved in chair position.
Those with different views are not enemies, they are in fear and may need to learn.

I will add that votertracker is very useful in finding friends/associates who can be encouraged to register Republican (everyone needs a free meal or drink occasionally!).

Face-to-face is where it happens. It is slow. I try to make it fun.

Your continuing involvement lays the groundwork for you success in future meetings this Spring in Nevada. It also will help you in future years.

Thank you!

By the way, you didn't mention some things that are generally unproductive: parades, sign waves, emailing rants to national TV/press, signing petition to GOP telling them they must change.

Your dismissal of others

Your dismissal of others efforts is not fair. Those are efforts that are not as measurable as what this post has shown, but I think they have there place.

The media does their job to set a national environment for their candidate(s), and what those Ron Paul supporters are up to is doing their best to show the country . . . Hey we exist!

To think about what their effectiveness may be, try to imaging what it would be like if they were all forever silent.

Sorry Bob, I Can't Agree With Your Effort to Sweep Voter Fraud

under the rug.

I see that you have only been a DP member for 5 weeks. Did you even know who Ron Paul was in 2008? If you did, then why are you so quick to urge us to "move on", and not confront the EVIL that was done to Dr. Paul in your own backyard?

There are thousands of us who are also walking our precinct for Dr. Paul- for a second time. In addition, we have also spent hours reading his books in order to better advocate the message of liberty. We have donated money that we REALLY couldn't afford to give, we have endured the stigma of being Ron Paul supporters among family and friends who think we are nuts, and for the last 4 years, we have hoped and prayed that Dr. Paul would run again, do well, and NOT have his votes stolen by thugs who don't respect other people's right to vote.

I hope this helps you to understand Bob why those of us who have invested so much in Dr. Paul's candidacy may not be eager to jump on your bandwagon.

There is no doubt, however, that you have a way with words. You ought to be a speech writer, or, with all that talk about love, perhaps a sermon writer. You have a real knack for making something cowardly sound honorable, but unfortunately, there is NOTHING honorable about ignoring voter fraud.

For those of us who are not in Las Vegas, it is very frustrating to see what happened and wonder how we can do something about it from afar. I've been hoping that someone involved in the Clark County caucus would step forward with some pertinent information that could help Dr. Paul. One thing is certain; if we continue to ignore the problem, the problem will only get worse.

No Way I'm Going To Ignore It, Bro

I am going to go straight at it. But not with finger pointing, blame, accuse, and attack. All that will do is cement it in place.

I am going to go offer to assist in the state convention, which is probably as big a job as the caucus was. All republicans are are UNPAID volunteers, even Gingrich supporters.

I am going out to meet someone else's fear HEAD ON with the most poweful force in the universe in my pocket.

See you in Tampa, where the FUN really begins!

Sorry but I can't appreciate your un-generous

response to a beautiful post from bobspirit. He did not try to "sweep fraud under the rug" as you accuse. He advised following the official campaign's high road. Move on in the direction of our strengths, don't get mired in an attempt to match the negativity of those who use fear, fraud and force.

Now it's perfectly valid for you to choose to stay and fight and not budge an inch tactically. And perhaps history will judge your choice correct, or at least useful. But it is fully valid for others to put their full energies into the positive path of spreading the r3VOLution.

That's freedom, it's what this movement is all about. We see diverse paths toward the goal of Liberty. Let's learn to appreciate the many ways it can be expressed and not try to herd independent people into one narrow road.

You Seem To Be Confused; It Was BOB Who Posted a Thread

telling everyone on the DP to "skip the troll fears", and basically, ignore what happened in Clark County. It is BOB you should be telling not to "herd independent people into one narrow road"!

And it is YOU who needs "to learn to appreciate the many ways it (the movement) can be expressed."

As for ME, I see no reason why we cannot pursue "spreading the r3VOLution" while at the same time confront voter fraud whenever, and wherever, it occurs.

I really dont think it was voter fraud

I had a similar experience at precinct 3604, at Centennial highschool in Las Vegas. 569 Register republicans, 120 of them were ron paul supporters. 23 Showed up, 10 voted for Ron Paul, 7 of us became delegates...

Call it voter fraud if you want to make yourself feel better, but like the OP, I was there.. I'm sorry to say, but there is people who dropped the ball in Nevada. There is ton of support out here, I see signs all the time. I have alot of good talks with freedom minded individuals, but not enough republicans in general felt it was worth there time to go out and vote. Im not sure if there is a way to check, but I believe if you checked how many turned out in most precincts in Las Vegas, I bet the precinct was lucky to get 10% of its republicans to show.

I think we should keep fighting, but this voter fraud crap is not helping the cause. I'll admit, the vote count was rediculous. Not very well organized, and i understand how it could make people skeptical. I assure you the main problem in Las Vegas was not voter fraud, but complete unorganization.

Sorry, I do not understand your post

How do you know that out of the 569 registered republicans 120 were Paul supporters? You say 23 showed up. Is that all republicans or just Paul supporters? Since 10 voted for Ron Paul I must assume 23 was the total number of republicans which means a huge percentage was Paul supporters. This is what I have been seeing from most peoples comments that were there. And Ron Paul comes in third? If my assumtions are wrong please point out mt errors, And by the way, I do not give a flying fornacation about how many repulicans show up unless they are Ron Paul supporters.

There are only five things that motivate people

As a Sales Professional, I have learned through experience:

Everyone (with no exceptions) will be motivated by one or more of the following.

1. Jealousy (of God or Man)
2. Ignorance (of God's Law, Satan's Law or Man's Law)
3. Fear (of God, Satan or Man)
4. Greed
5. Lust (after power, sex, material things, etc...)

The one common bond all Human Beings have is this.

Most everyone wants to feel good about themselves.
Most everyone wants to feel good about what they are doing.

You are right in that there is no substitute for actual one on one contact. Love cures all ills.

Thanks for all of your hard work.

Thanks for Shining a Light

It sure beats cursing the darkness! God bless you. I think we can all do more, on a personal and political level, to save our country and our countrymen, and your story and observations testify to it.

Thank you for your hard work!

I agree the most important thing you can do is walk your neighborhood and talk with people face to face. Be polite, stay open minded and let them know their opinion means something. Your job is to get them to see your side, but remember you have to meet them at their level…don’t expect them to meet you at your level and go from there. I was nervous when I first went out there to do this and then in no time it became very easy. You might be surprised at how friendly people can be and how willing they are to talk. Of course you will have those nasty ones too, but all in all I have to say I actually enjoyed it. This experience I speak of is when my husband ran for city commissioner last year when our city had a special election to fill the seat of a commissioner that passed away. My Uncle had been in local politics and the first thing my Aunt said, when I told her what my husband had decided to do, was to knock on doors. She said it over and over again. So folks, I am here in Florida, so my time is over, if you are in a state coming up please go out there and start walking and talking! We all appreciate your hard work!

Thank you, Sir.

Thank you for your encouragement.

Just for the record..

Romney did win Clark county by a wide margin with Paul in second and Gingrich third and also, if you look at the precinct level votes for Clark County you'll see that Romney won Siverado HS, with Paul in second.

A beautiful story.

Everything that you said validates the conclusions that I have drawn based on my experience campaigning for Ron Paul. Progress is heart-breakingly slow, but there is no substitute for one-on-one communication.

Well said. Regarding "I stressed our unity as AMERICANS, not as Republicans." If you're not already doing it, I would like to add that they should not look at it as a vote for Ron Paul (he's not interested in the power, salary, pension unlike the rest), but as a vote for liberty and against economic failure. I hope you also point out to the voters that he is a man of integrity who keeps his promises.

"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul

Great Job Bob. Yes I had about the same experience in

MN. For you folks in the rest of the States coming up for vote in order for you us to win you need to go out and canvass the neighbor along with your other friends in the state to do the same thing.

We had only 35 People show up in my Precinct and 12 votes for Santorum and 10 for Paul and few votes for Romney. I thought I had things covere,d until their was a surprise attack by Catholic members just voting for Santorum because he was catholic. I was able to get one new Ron Paul supporter the day before to run for a delegate spot and he won to go on to the County convention.

Folks running for a delegate spot isn't like a full time job all it is going on to the County Convention but with a smaller amount of people trying to do the same thing you did the first time. However, you can help change the Republican platform around in how your GOP acts in your County!

So folks the difference you can make is actually meeting up with your neighbors. Remember Aaron Storm of Iowa Delivering over 10,000 Flyers. If you just canvass your own neighborhood precinct and talk with them you will convert a lot of them to the cause. If they don't want to become a delegate they can vote for fellow RP they about at Caucus time.

While the Ron Paul Campaign help with somethings its the Grass Roots that wins this and the only way I can see us winning is for your folks in the rest of states to get off your laptops and go walk your block. The great news I can tell you is a lot of Democrats & Independents came into Minneapolis Precincts and put Ron Paul over the top! This tells me if we can just fight a little harder in the remaining states to get delegates we can win the general election against Obama.

Keep fighting for Liberty!

Dr. Paul will lose

if we don't protect his votes. This post is great, but naive. If he doesn't do better in the popular vote, no one will be surprised when somehow his delegates are stolen. THEY WILL DO IT, BELIEVE IT, THEY WILL FIND A WAY. They'll find a way to steal the delegates if his popular vote count stays low. People wake up, we need to protect his votes. We can defend them easily by taking a video of the results especially after an electronic vote. Four minute video how to do it

CPAC Straw Poll Changes Hurt Ron Paul's Hat-Trick Chances

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/09/cpac-ron-paul-_n_12...

For the past two years, Paul has won, by large margins, a straw poll of attendees at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference. The results have been something of an embarrassment for CPAC, organized by the American Conservative Union, which comes from a more traditional conservative point of view than Paul's libertarian-tinged version.

This year, the American Conservative Union and CPAC are moving from paper ballots to electronic voting that will be accessible from a computer or a handheld device, said Al Cardenas, the conservative union's current president. He told The Huffington Post that he hopes this will increase the number of attendees who participate in the straw poll.

"Obviously, in the past, it's been somewhat compromised because only a third of the people who attend voted," Cardenas said in an interview. "It used to be a fairly cumbersome process because you had to do it manually. Now, for the first time this year we're instituting an electronic vote.
