Maine is next state to weigh in on GOP race

Paul, the libertarian-leaning Texas congressman, is searching for his first victory, visiting the state Friday for a second time in recent weeks. Newt Gingrich is working to reset his campaign after a string of defeats in the weeks since his South Carolina victory, while Santorum wants to capitalize on his burst of momentum.

Maine was one of only two states to buck the Roosevelt landslide in 1936. Let's hope Mainers retain this independent streak.

...to my distant cousin, Alf Landon, whole got that state against FDR in 1936! Too bad that even tho he was a fiscal conservative, he was also a little bit of a Teddy Roosevelt progressive. (still would've been better than FDR, though...)

I don't see any other official announcement or schedule from Campaign about his Friday visit. I wish he is there NOW.. but He must be there in Maine at the least tomorrow.

Please Dr.Paul we must win Maine.. its very critical.
