ATTN Pennsylvanians IMPORTANT-Petition Signing
Submitted by Lee_A_Mitchell on Thu, 02/09/2012 - 09:05As you may know, to win 2012, or at least have a voice at the RNC, we need delegates. The first step to getting delegates is getting signatures from registered republicans (and only republicans can sign and vote in PA). We're running out of time for petition signing, but still need your signatures!
Signatures are needed in every congressional district, so please come out to a petition signing event in your district (you can only sign for delegates in your own congressional district). Contact the coordinator for your district. Signers do not need to be Paul supporters, just registered republicans, so drag your friends/family along. Look up your congressional district here:

I can't emphasize enough how important it is for you to show up to a signing event or otherwise come to us to sign. Collecting signatures is a time consuming process. For example, yesterday I went out door to door (while it was snowing) and only averaged 5 signers per hour. The Paul campaign wants us to get 400 signatures for each delegate. Petitions must be submitted in Harrisburg by Tuesday (2/14), so really our cut off is Sun/Mon.
I'm in PA Congressional District #5. PA CD5 is a HUGE area.
I'll be at a tea party meeting this evening in Clearfield (6:30PM) trying to get signatures and hand out Paul signs.

Penna. redistricted
Our signature collector cautioned against using the old Representative-finder site for verifying district numbers, suggesting that the Rep-finder site does not yet reflect the new district lines in Pennsylvania.

O.K. I have a minor problem
my district was eliminated during redistricting. There is no longer a 19th. I am now in the 11th and am finding it difficult to find any information on the 11th district. Would have normally been no problem as I know of a few places in the York area that was my former district. Any help would rock. I'm headed to the sportsmans show tomorrow in Harrisburg and would like to find one while I'm in the area. Thanks.

You're really on the ball with this stuff. Thanks for pointing us all in the right direction and grabbing the bull by the horns. I have seen more RP bumper stickers around here than any other candidate, except maybe Obama, so I hope my state makes us proud.

You'll need to print it out on legal paper, two sided.
The "street lists" (list of registered repubs by street address broken down by ward/precinct/division) are not publically available but the cong cooridinator should be able to email you an excel file of the lists for your area.

Need More Than One
It would be great if you could get a street list from the coordinator, and then go out Sat morning and canvass your local fellow republicans and get signatures.
Ten sigs would help, 25 (the front side of the nomination paper) would be awesome, and 50 (fill up front and back) would put you in a class of your own!! :-)

We have at least two more scheduled events in Lehigh, one on the far west end of Allentown on Friday night and one all day on Sunday at my restaurant in Coopersburg, which is very close to the Bucks County line (the 8th CD). The redistricting ruling by
The redistricting ruling by the court 2 weeks ago did not affect federal congressional districts (which we're working off of). That's why our deadline is still Tuesday the 14th and was not extended to the 16th like the state level district candidates. Make sure your district delegates know that they do NOT have until Thursday! There was some confusion about this early on.
