Final Weekend PUSH in Maine - Help Win Maine!

And we have to push hard to make sure we can win Maine. Portland Maine is caucusing this weekend. All hands on deck for this one, people.

1. Go to the Maine Headquarters at 190 U.S. Route 1, Falmouth, Maine to help identify people for the caucuses that go on until Saturday! Calling goes on from 10:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. Identifying voters and getting out the vote are the single most important thing we can do.
2. At 4PM on Friday February 10 (RESCHEDULED FROM 5PM!!!), go to the Mitt Romney event at the Portland Company Complex at 53 Fore Street, Portland, ME (5:15PM start time for the actual event) to wave signs for Ron Paul outside, to infiltrate the crowd inside, to hand out literature to the people going to the event. Remember, Portland is caucusing THIS WEEKEND! Outreach is important this Friday.
3. Go to the Maine caucus sites that are caucusing this weekend to provide support to the campaign as extra boots on the ground, to distribute literature, to speak with voters at the caucuses. If you are in the vicinity of any large colleges/universities in Maine, please help to get those kids to the caucuses, even if it means renting a van -- they can register AT THE CAUCUS, so this is a great opportunity for us. That's been our weakness with the young people. They love us but have trouble coming out. Nevada suffered from an epic fail in turnout, so we still have a chance to do something about it in Maine.

College Kids in Maine
It would be great to target college campuses in Maine to get college kids actually out to the caucuses, since they can be registered at the caucus sites.
BUT - there's a BUT. Residency restrictions do apply, so just because they go to college in Maine doesn't mean they can vote in Maine. So at the college outreach, it will be necessary to ask if their state of residency is indeed Maine. So, if they have a car registered out of state or a Driver's License out of state, this will not work.
Yet, there are still enough college kids that are Maine residents that we need to get out to the caucuses. A group of volunteers going up to Maine will be doing college outreach, among other things.
Activists behind this event are New Hampshire activists that delivered a very strong performance for Dr. Paul in their state. So we have some great folks behind this.

Please Paul supporters in Maine do everything you can to get votes for Paul even if you already voted. Paul needs a large cushion to hold off Romney's potential late surge when the counties with large population hold caucuses on Feb 11. Paul really needs a win.

Get the kids to show up
Can anyone rent a school bus and make sure all of the college students show up. They are the wild card in this win. We need to make sure they actually show up.
RP voters must be reminded to actually go to the polls and vote!

Are there any RP supportive radio announcers or bars holding get out the vote parties. Offering a free drink for I Voted stickers. How about free taxi services to the polls.

Anybody close to campaign can give us any idea.. when Dr.Paul will be there in Maine? He must be there before Romney and must be having a rally tomorrow (Friday).

Afterward, throw the wing-ding and have fun.
If new people show up at the party during the day, then have a designated driver to bring them to the voting station to vote, and bring them back to the party.

Grew up in Maine and Population...
...distribution is heavy with flat-landers in Southern Maine. Lots of Boston loyalty due to having no sports teams of their own. (Trust me: the feeling is not reciprocated by Mass and for the life of me I don't understand why they would ever vote for a Masshole.)
A lack of turn out would be superior, but this Santorum/Romney wake up call has changed that.
Good news is that Maine splits the at large delegates evenly between Northern Maine and Southern Maine... Just like they do the delegates in the Presidential Election in November. The Party Leadership is still 3 and there are a Governor and two Senator bonuses. It looks like those are all leaning Romney, but two I know are possible surprise Paul endorsements. He will have to win their voter base though.
COME ON MAINE!
This just might be a do or die moment for us. We need this win. We have to get a win before super tuesday in order for people across these states to vote for us. COME ON!!!! If you don't fight now, then you have just lost your chance. This is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE WE HAVE!!!!!

The last few days we were just calling supporters to make sure they showed up. I just found out a young republican girl that fell in love with Ron Paul didn't go and vote. That one vote is the difference in winning your precinct and becoming a delegate.
