Why run as a republican...

why run as a republican and not as a libertarian as he did in '88? I've not seen where this has been explained.

If Ron Paul can't win as a
If Ron Paul can't win as a Republican, he can't win as an Independent.
It's as simple as that.
Good question and good answers...
... and if anybody uses the "T" word on you, just ignore them! :)

We don't know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole worlds got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who's the winner
We can't pay the cost

Reeasons
1. Easily allow opponents to label you a kook.
2. Excluded from most all debates.
3. Media will cover you less than Paul as a Republican (if possible).
4. Americans are primarily brainwashed for their two party system that fails over and over.
Just a few reasons...
Dam politicians, not rivers!
Always remember:
"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." ~ Samuel Adams
Stay IRATE, remain TIRELESS, and set those BRUSH FIRES everywhere you go and in all you do!
Maybe,
because he's been a Republican all his life, except for that one year? Elected to Congress 10 times as a Republican? Why would he not run as a Republican?
one advantage
3rd party victories are very tough but it has happened on a Statewide level and it would make Ron Paul less objectionable to hardcore GOP haters.
The Hillary facade is already crumbling.
She's got the organization but Obama's getting enthusiasm.
We all know how powerful that is. Everyone is claiming to bring change and Hillary has the hardest time pulling it off.
Obama supporters are idealistic, so they are much like us.
We have to explain to them that Obama can't bring change because he's controlled by the puppetmasters.
Conventional wisdom says that the winner of Iowa won't be the candidate. I think that we are playing by all new rules, because this is the first election that has been embraced to this extent by the Internet.

I read
just yesterday, because it's much harder politically to get support when you run as in indie.
Here's a write up to RP's story how he ran for Congressman, and there's a bit about the above.
