False accusations of corporatism against RP

The far-left-socialism-advocating elite always accuse Ron Paul of being corporatist. It's not just the ridiculous assertion by them that free markets help the rich against the poor. They level unfounded claims that RP believes in trickle down economics (really??!! The one guy who opposes the Federal Reserve and big banks believes in trickle down economics??). This mainly because RP believes in lower taxes and free market regulations as opposed to govt. control - which is not the same as "no regulations/oversight".

Today, in the list of suggested videos in youtube the following popped up - where RP tells why "Corporations are NOT people" : (please embed)

We can get 'Occupy Wall St' to at least give RP's message of free markets a shot if we get this word out. Try sharing this video in the next few days and help get this topic to be more visible - to balance the misinformation.

Thanks

Even a lot of smart people on

Even a lot of smart people on the left don't understand markets and economics. They confuse it with corporatism and venture capitalism. They don't understand the nature regulation either: that every rule is (at least) another loophole, and means nothing if you can't enforce it.

They understand that when it comes to personal liberty, but not that you can (and should) apply it to the economy. You don't have to limit a free market when it's based on sound money and principles. It puts natural limits on the system instead of artificial ones that never work. Right now, investors love to invest in National Debt...if there's no debt to invest in, that money goes to the real economy. Liquidity problem? Solved.

Yeah, that's why he gets all those millions from corporations like Romney and Obama. LOL!

exactly !!

:)

Occupy isn't worth our time

They want communism. Respect them for what they are, communists, and let them be. We have allot to do in the GOP.

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

Occupy

Occupy is people with many different views. It is just after the Tea Party(originally form up around the Ron Paul R3VOLUTION and was hijacked by the establishment republicans...Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, FOX News) the establishment was ready the next time and sent in a bunch of paid activist to join in and discredit the true protestors to make them look like a bunch of "trash". This is the same way they try to make Ron Paul supporters look like a bunch of people that know nothing about politics except that Ron Paul wants to legalize drugs, they pick out the people that best fit the way they want them to look and broadcast over the MSM to make people that are still asleep or half-asleep believe the bile that they spew at you over the boob-tube 24/7.

I agree

I saw what you say you saw.

I also know that the majority of "views" in Occupy want exactly the opposite of Ron Paul's message, in that, Occupy wants a massive government that provides everything for the people from cradle to grave. Occupy thinks government is a form of security. Ron Paul knows government is FORCE and focing people to die is really what it does best.

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

i get it

But I'm not asking RP to change his message - I'm just saying to get out the word that RP doesn't believe in corporate personhood. That helps combat the propaganda in the liberal media.

What's so wrong about that?

IMO you are wanting to "throw pearls before swine"

I'm not meaning to sound insulting to Occupy. They IMO should have the right to dissent. More power to them as far as dissent goes.

Also, IMO, I understand and appreciate that you do not want to change Ron Paul message, and that we should be educating Occupy about Ron Paul's message on corporate personhood and his rebellion against it. It is common groud.

But our common ground, where we both reject corporate personhood, is not the same. Occupy wants the state to own the corporations. Occupy wants the government to be all to everyone from cradle to grave. Occupy wants everyone to have a government job and the government be THE CORPORATION.

Ron Paul and Ron Paul Republicans want INDIVIDUALS to own corporations, not be them, while greatly reducing the size of federal government by cutting departments, cutting jobs, cutting military, giving states more rights to ease the sucking the vacuum of loss will create. Ron Paul has admitted, this isn't going to be easy, and some people will feel pain, but it will remedy quickly, because "people can do much more without government red tape and fear of liability through corporatehood."

Occupy hears the word "Republican" and it actually makes them puke.

I volunteered for Ralph Nader for three elections and worked with many Socialists and Communists, some were the sweetest people I ever met, others were the meanest. When I joined the rEVOLUtion in 07, I contacted many of these people. They all remembered me because I worked hard for Nader's right to be on the ballot. I didn't agree with Nader 100%, but I appreciated his calling out the "Duopoly" and fighting for freedom. Not one of them would join the rEVOLution. I pointed out that I, who had been a registered Libertarian since 1976, and registered Decline to State to join them and "Fight the Good Fight" and "Crash the Party", thought, they would do the same. They would not.

They are now sign waving for Occupy. I do not agree with Occupy. They mean well, but they don't get it and they won't get past the word, "REPUBLICAN", to read Ron Paul so they can get it.

Meanwhile, those of us who joined the GOP for Ron Paul's presidential candidcy have a big job ahead of us. It's not so much trying to get those on the far left to read and educated themselves about Ron Paul, afterall they are "Occupied", but it is making ourselves delegates and getting our Republican Central Committees, and registered Republicans to educate themselves, get over their neocon influence, and support Ron Paul. We have allot of work to do in the GOP. I mean ALLOT OF WORK.

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

Puppets
