I read that there
is a new film industry--conservative--in CA now. lol both the liberals and conservatives want to work.

With cheap technology and the
With cheap technology and the internet for distribution, the old corporate movie industry is largely obsolete... they're also totally out of ideas.
Eastwood
Clint has been a Libertarian most of his adult life. Elected mayor of Carmel, Ca. 20-30 yrs ago. I may be wrong on the city.
Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty
Even though these _________ have tons of money,
they cower at anything that might cause a lessening of their box office receipts. Look at Clit's last film about Hoover - it tanked. Why did he even make the film? Dontcha think that he, of all people could make a wonderful, enteraining expose of how our Constitution has been trampled? But he doesn't. He's afraid. I am SICK of all these celebrities. Even the ones for RP won't get out there in the public and REALLY support him as we have.
They SUCK!!!
I hear ya
And look what happened to Mel Gibson when he went down that path. The older celebrities perhaps feel that they are too entangled in the system to work their way out of it easily.
This is why the public efforts of people like Jordan Page, Aimee Allen, Shooter Jennings, KRS-One, Joe Rogan, Alex Jones, Jerry Day, Stefan Molyneux, Prodigy, etc. are so important. At some point, "mainstream" entertainers are going to be old news that's been pushed aside by people who are willing to speak the truth. It's inevitable.

They could learn a thing or two from Kelly Clarkson.
HAHA
I dont understand how much people can't understand the basic principles of debt. You don't spend more money than you have. This is not like an ideological difference of opinion such as religious beliefs that are subjective its simple math.
Love to hear him...
...give that interview while breathing Helium.
The Dude...
...actually used the word 'regimes' to describe the past two presidential adminstrations.
Now that's interesting...a little sneak peak into how he really feels about gunvernment, me thinks.
I noticed that too
He could have easily just said "the Obama regime". Not only did he slap down Bush, he alluded to how effed up things have been "post 9/11".

I find it pathetic
that anyone would grovel for the approval of Hollywood which has done more to destroy this country than any politician. Clint Eastwood and the rest of the Hollywood whores can kiss my ass.
Hey now
Just because a group of people has been "evil", does not mean that they cannot change, and it also doesn't mean that individuals from the group cannot be good, and help lead the group in a better direction in the future.

Damn... Harry Callahan is older than Ron Paul!
Born in 1930, making him almost 82.

This is true. But it is
This is true. But it is because the liberals have such a strangle hold on the industry. Being conservative out there is like being a leper.

"The two weakest arguments for any issue on the House floor are moral and constitutional"
Ron Paul
sure could
Sure could.
Since long before there was a Ron Paul Revolution I have advocated a Kurt Russell presidential run, if only because America would eagerly vote for him in order to get Goldie Hawn as First Lady.
Producing, distributing and archiving the BEST Ron Paul Speech films.
oops
wrong spot.
"The two weakest arguments for any issue on the House floor are moral and constitutional"
Ron Paul
If Eastwood or any other person
in the public eye supports Ron Paul they need to stand up and say so. Tom Hanks is another one, he speaks out in support of the veterans and yet why does he support Obama who continues to put the active military in harms way and for what? It appears celebrities are owned by the studios and if they were to speak out for anyone who doesn't support the status quo, they fear they would lose work. If that's so, it's a shame because it is their country and their children's futures which are in jeopardy. Unless Dirty Harry and Forest Gump grow some sets, their words are worthless.

My theory
and it's only a theory is that most hi-profile celebs, business big-wigs or politicians have some skeletons in their closet and actually receive death threats from the PTB.
Dossiers are kept on people of prominence by our shadow government (rogue elements of the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.) that contain secrets about their private lives or scrupulous business deals thay will not want revealed.
My guess is that the PTB have some dirt on Hanks and so he will say what they want and do what they say. It's the price of fame.

Good point. It's like the new black-listing. Instead of "do you support communism?", now it's "do you support Ron Paul?".
