How do you vote for Ron Paul in the CPAC Straw Poll? Dr Paul won the last two years in a row. SInce he isn't there this year, a win would go very nicely coupled with a win in Maine. The articles say they are attempting to reach a broader audience with electronic voting. Does that mean it is possible to vote from home? Maybe a fee??
Remember the post Fear and Loathing in GOP
where the GOP official was quoted as saying they were setting up more caucus' so they could select delegates (meaning the officials) so that they could counter RP having all the delegates? I think that's what they are up to here.

They might be
hiding where they are electing delegates, having secret meetings at an undisclosed place other than the actual caucus place. Keep an eye on the staff officials and don't tell them you are for Ron Paul if you want to be a delegate say you are for someone else.

The original info repeated in this link is incorrect.
My qualifications were based, as explained, on the fact that Ron Paul supporters were all day providing clarifying information, dismissing much of what some have called "disinfo" like the garbage post at Google, which appears to be the same thing which happened earlier, in another state, involving Google simply putting up a page with "sample" data before the caucus actually begins.
There has been at least one significant change in Caucus date (from tomorrow until the following Saturday).
That change as announced as being due to weather (snow is expected). I also noted that in many caucuses a "snow date" is allowed for, and is in the original schedule.
Finally, the change of date was made by the county.
On the multiple locations where the "new" caucuses were "added" it's not so clear, but it looks like only 2 of those mentioned in fact are new and that the campaign has known about them, and there is a Ron Paul supporter clearly stating they've been in contact with the people holding both caucuses and doesn't believe there is any dirty trick afoot .

LOL, no one is reading mine anyway, the others might be a bit too titilating? I even was going to erase mine when I first saw there were others (hadn't caught the duplicates when I first posted).
After I saw them, I hoped people might see mine for the corrections, inaccuracies or whatever you call the questions I had with the original info.

Long ago I used to do posts w/
non-"titilating" titles. The problem-no one read them.
Now I will use varying degrees of MEDIA like sensationalism in order to at least get a reading/hearing.
The problem with that-Many read only the title and down vote the post to oblivion based on judgement of the title alone.
Still working on finding the perfect balance.

Ever ask yourself...
WHY BOTHER? Yes I know why we bother (it's a rhetorical question)...but seriously, why are we trying to win within a party that HATES us. And hate may be a conservative term for the treatment we received back in '08 and again now. I, like others in this forum, am dedicated to seeing this through and making Dr. Paul the nominee. But just wondering in the future if we'll try to win within this party again.

Third Party Non-Viable
I understand the sentiment, but until Laws in this country change a 3rd Party Run is Not a Viable Solution.
Theres no way around it. If you want to go third party with the laws as they are now, be prepared to religate yourself to complete obscurity. No one will take you seriously. Then you REALLY CAN'T WIN.
Trust me, many of us would love to go maverick on the duopoly but it isn't feasible as it stands.

On first analysis (for argument's sake), Ron couldn't win in a third party/independent run. But if he ran, the GOP nominee couldn't win, either. So if the GOP really wants to beat Obama, they need to nominate Ron.
Another point is that we need to change the focus of the GOP in this election. They are totally about defeating Obama.
But why? Because Obama is leading America over the cliff at an amazing pace.
What are all the GOP candidates except Ron Paul going to do? They are going to run America off the clip at a slower pace.
People need to realize that if they want to reverse the destruction of America, they need to elect the only candidate who is seriously ready to make REAL cuts in spending and do it in a big way.
No other medicine will do.

We very simply beat them at their own game
WE pick up as many delegates as humanly possible and prevent the opposition from obtaining any delegates whatsoever. We MUST maintain a culture of "Delegate Ownership"--- These delegates are OUR DELEGATES!!! The GOP PTB will begin to question essentially everything due to hypotensive shock resulting from their inability to effectively respond. Not only are they in dire need of sensible answers but their inherent inability to ask any meaningful questions puts them in an immpossible situation. One thing which is very well known amongst Ron Paul supporters is their intellectual wherewithall. They are known to be very well read and are more apt then just about any other supporter out there to keep abreast of the most recent literature, books, political commentary, etc. Austrian Economics and Ayn Rand are considered normal reading amongst many if not a Majority of Ron Paul Supporters. Certainly not the same demographics we saw in Florida is it?
