Deadline to register to vote is Monday, February 13.

Check your voter status here.

Voter registration form here.

You can hand deliver the voter registration form at a public library, DMV, or local voter registration office.

If you mail the voter registration form, make sure you include a copy of a document that includes your name and address (ID, utility bill, bank statement, etc.). Also, it MUST have a postmark of February 13 or earlier.

There is NO party affiliation in Virginia. All you need to do is register to vote.

How to be a Delegate in Arlington County, Virginia

To be a Delegate in Virginia, in most cases, you will need to be elected by your County Committee, then at your Congressional District Convention, then at the Commonwealth Convention. For example, in Arlington County, it works like this (Steps 1 - 7):

Step 1. Be a registered voter in the Commonwealth of Virginia. You may want to join the Party too, so that you are seen as “one of them”.

- Deadline to register to vote in Virginia is NEXT MONDAY, 13 February 2012 (as we see above).

Step 2. Submit your delegate application (and fee, payable to “ACRC”) to the Arlington Republican Committee NO LATER THAN 22 February 2012 (address: 405 S. Glebe Rd., Arlington, VA 22204). You can also submit these the day of the County Canvass (but this is unwise)…and of course dates and locations are “subject to change.”

Step 3. Attend the Arlington County Canvass at ACRC Headquarters, 405 S. Glebe Rd., Arlington, Virginia on Saturday, 10 March 2012, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

deadline for applying to be a delgate or vote in your district convention for delegates is March 10 in my area of VA - please look into it for your county!
