SOME COMMENTS ON THE AFTERMATH OF THE IOWA CAUCUS
Submitted by brainon4u on Sat, 01/05/2008 - 13:02SOME COMMENTS ON THE AFTERMATH OF THE IOWA CAUCUS in an email from Jim Condit Jr.- I did not ask permission to log here.
Iowa Report: We did the best we could and got about 20% of the precincts covered, and about 22,000 votes witnessed.
Unfortunately, the results were as the Big Media reported, according to our witnesses. Huckabee came in first almost everywhere, and Ron Paul was in the 5th position right near McCain and Thompson. Our numbers show this, too, and we had many impeccable eyewitnesses on the ground. (If we cry "wolf", there will be a wolf! There was no evidence of the type of vote theft anywhere in Iowa that we could find, such as we found perpetrated against Pat Buchanan in Iowa.
---- The Iowa Campaign staff did not help the Vote Watch effort at all. They did not publish numbers on the internet, either themselves, or in cooperation with us or any other group. As far as I know, they did nothing in reality to seriously watch the vote, despite noises to the contrary.
Also, there is strong suggestion of crippling sabotage by Drew Ivers (head paid RP staff person in Iowa), as the data base for the Ron Paul supporters in Iowa somehow became "unavailable" until 4 PM in the afternoon on Jan 3, Caucus day.
That means that all day the 200+ RP volunteers couldn't remind people to go to the Caucus. This could have cost Ron Paul 10,000 votes, as last minute reminders are critical. This is EXACTLY what saboteurs do -- they delay, obstruct, pretend to be dumb, and then provide way too little, way too late. How could the data base be in just one place, instead of in multiple places if one data base corrupted or went down? Why was it available at 4 PM -- but not at 8 AM?
Jim Gragg of Kansas arrived up at the Iowa Office at about 11 AM on Caucus day. He offered to help. Drew Ivers told him they had everything covered -- and to just go to the party that night !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who has ever heard of this in a campaign fighting for its life against great odds?
I provided Jim Gragg a school location which he went to. In the caucus he attended -- a few miles from headquarters, Huckabee, Thompson, Romney, and McCain had speakers -- but Ron Paul did not !!!!! And people from outside the caucus were allowed to speak. Yeah, Drew Ivers had everything "handled", just like Jesse Benton and Don Rasmussen of the RP paid staff had everything "handled" at the Iowa Straw Poll.
Maybe some of the hot shots up there around Drew Ivers who have been obstructing the Vote Watch work for four months, and who refused to use the automated call program which Mr. Weber and Steven Vincent had offered them for months, only grudgingly approving it two weeks before the Caucus (again, too little, too late!) -- maybe this "know-it-all, cower before the Iowa GOP thugs" crew around Drew Ivers can explain some of this to someone's satisfaction. (Remember, this was the same crew that had ONE student body visit planned for Ron Paul when he landed in Iowa a few weeks before the Caucus. Thus wasting his time that day. --
Again, they just can't quite get anything critical right. Also, it is now coming out that TV advertising was lackluster and sporadic in Iowa. Someone needs to pull the FEC report eventually and see what was spent on Iowa TV and radio.
If the paid staff is not going to object to the ruthless censorship and suppression the Big TV and Radio stations are using against Ron Paul, then they at least need to do saturation advertising to make Ron Paul a household name. This should have been going on since July, but even the advertising in Nov and Dec was apparantly not done properly.
You can saturate an Iowa City on local Talk Radio and Local TV news for one week for about $15,000 - $20,000 or so. There were 20 major Iowa cities, but maybe not even that many media centers. Iowa was critical in so many ways. I think we've been "had" again by the "Cato Institute" enemy within the Ron Paul paid staff. Away with all of them in an office housecleaning!
End of Iowa comments.
Please help us with the NH vote count. We will be assigning one team to five NH polling places, and instructions will be up soon. Thanks.
PS I did not ask permission to share this email - I thought it VERY important. I got the e-mail because I worked the IA Caucus from home for libertybroadcastnetwork.com

Centralized planning doesn't
work, even within the RP campaign. I'm so glad people can separate Ron's message from some of the horrible decisions made by his staff.
Ron Paul has said he doesn't want to plan everything. No one person is capable of that. We need to take this campaign as our personal mission. We need to pay attention to vote fraud, we need to go door to door, hang up signs. We can't simply give a bunch of money and expect Ron to get elected.
This man who posted this message is taking things into his own hands, and we should all follow him. Take your area into your hands and be sure you do your part. Big things happen when a bunch of small people do their part.
I read that early on the
I read that early on the Iowa staff recommended spending money elsewhere, not in Iowa, and considered it a lost cause. Is this true?

once Fred Thompson drops out of the race, the Paul HQ needs to snatch up his advertising team.
His adverstisements are funny, consice, and fresh.
They would have a ball with the message of the revolution.
Black's ads are good too, why not use both advertising teams.
Time for a new ad strategy.
Jesus is the saviour of the WHOLE WORLD, "As in Adam all die, so too in Christ ALL shall be made alive." (ICor.15:22) All means all. The pagan 'hell' of literal fire & eternal torment is a lie and is SPIRITUAL TERRORISM. http://www.hopebeyondhell.net/blog
I'm IN on the vote count watch in NH!!!!
I've got everybody's back on this one, you better believe it. There's no WAY Ron Paul will not win top-tier here. Votes to be counted in public & reported live online all the way!
Thanks
To you man!! Good to hear.

Don't tell me the GATO people are part of the HQ crew !!!
If you investigate these guys you'll see they are NO friends of ours. We have one of them here in Costa Rica...he is a politician and represents this group. Read what they say about Dr. Paul...it is not supportive !
I agree...dump these folks NOW and see that the rest are checked into
as well. We MUST take the bad apples out of the basket before they cause all to rot.

It's in Dr. Paul's court now.
I did speak to a person who was out canvassing in Iowa (student) - and the story about the lost database is correct.
He also told me in general that the campaign was disorganized - the students had to use their own cell phones for calling, since promised cell phones were not provided, and the last, critical day of the caucus, the students basically had nothing to do - and spent the day attending rallies for the various candidates - a tremendous loss of manpower.
The buck goes all the way to the top - Dr. Paul. Maybe he's had some of these people around him for years and feels a strong loyalty to them. But it's his responsibility to get his campaign ship in order. These shortcomings are certainly not a secret.
It is very tough to grow a business, even 20% a year, and I suspect that a certain part of this may be incompetence, though I don't understand the dismissal of student volunteers in NH because "we couldn't find housing".
Better to find this out early in the campaign. It's a miracle that we did as well as we did. With a 20 million dollar war chest, I agree that spending more money for some saturation ads in Iowa would have been wise, and the lack of organization throughout the state is sad.
But it's hard to find good people nowadays. And incompetent people often resist efforts to collaborate with those more competent than they.
Personally, I think and hope that there is a rapid growth process that is taking place, both for Dr. Paul and for his staff, who need to convince themself that yes, they really have hit the big time and yes, they truly do have a chance to win it all.
And I gave up a vacation....
to support this campaign? I donated almost the limit and could have taken that money and gone somewhere cool. I'm over it because getting RP elected is more important. However, the staff in charge NEEDS to understand that we need them to be organized and take care of the details to the end. They are the most important American employees out there right now. I'm sorry if this is too stressful, but the reality is that they need to produce results. If they do not perform for NH, I'm done...

HELP WANTED in NH -Vote Watchers!
From libertyBroadcastnetwork.org - Jim Condit Jr.
Help Walter Reddy in NH recruit on site Vote Watchers - and Iowa aftermath comments ----
Dear Friends,
If you are in NH or know anybody in NH -- Walter Reddy is at the Crown Plaza Nashua Hotel attending the Freedom Rally. Ron Paul will be speaking there a little after noon tomorrow.
Walter needs the help of a team of 5 or 10 people to help him pass out cards we have made up so people can sign up at libertyBroadcastnetwork.org -- to be ON LOCATION at each polling place on primary night (Tues, Jan 8-08) to watch the vote count, and then report it to our at-home correspondents, who will in turn upload it to the internet.
There are 302 polling places in NH -- 175 or so are counted by computer; 127 or so counted by hand. The NH town have the OPTION by law to open the computers at closing time -- and count the votes AGAIN in front of the public -- and this is what we must push for at the 175 NH cities using the Diebold Accuvote optical scanners.
Everyone who can should bring cameras and/or video cameras, and ask to take a picture or video of the final tally sheet in their polling place. This excellent idea comes from Bev Harris of blackboxvoting.org and the HBO special "Hacking Democracy."
Walter's Cell phone number is 203-858-2677 -- if anyone who can help wants to contact him. I can email people in other parts of the state the word document containing our pass out cards, so that each person who wants to can print it out, make copies and pass it out themselves if there are any gatherings of interested people.
From what I hear, the NH campaign already has someone going to each NH polling location, but they are not planning to put the numbers up on the internet that night. This is next to useless. If anyone can soften the hearts of the campaign staff on this, please do so.
All the volunteers at each polling place need to do after the count is over --- is to make one more phone call to the at-home LibertyBroadcastNetwork.org person waiting to get the call and upload the numbers for each candidate at that polling place to the internet site.
As far as I know, there is only one website ready to accept reports of the vote counts and put it instantaneously on the internet, and that's LibertyBroadcastNetwork.org ---- so, unless there is another site ready, then we must use this website to be a "check and balance" against any potentially corrupt voting officials or computer programmers.
Let's get 100% coverage in NH on Tuesday night, Jan 8, 08 -- instead of the 22% we achieved in Iowa on Jan 3. We CAN do it if we all work together.
There will be CONFERENCE CALLS again on Sunday night 6 PM to midnight EST, Monday night 4 PM to midnight EST, -- and Tuesday night, NH primary night. -- from 4 PM until midnight or beyond -- for any questions and for organizational purposes.
PS I was an "at home" vote counter, and it WAS SO EASY! WE NEED MORE "boots on the ground" in NH!!
I would rather not see ANYONE comment after the vote as to why this and why that.
You can either be part of the problem, or part of the solution. choose the latter!
Shouldn't your comment here
Shouldn't your comment here be on the front page??
