I have a problem with 10 people (delegates) deciding for an entire state. Too easy to manipulate. I just think the system is broken. Each state/party has their own way of doing this. What is wrong with people just voting in a primary election. One person, one vote.

The reason why Wyoming doesn't matter is that these delegates are allowed to change their votes all they want up to and including the Convention in September. Wyoming moved it forward because they wanted publicity and money to be spent there - that is why they are even voting - just like every other state that moved their primary or caucus forward. That is also the reason why they are pissed off at those who didn't visit enough - they thought it would bring in more visitors and more dollars but it didn't.

are you kidding me.??.the voting system is broken to the point of being laughable..I am first to admit to having completely dropped out of the voting process until RP candidacy & therefore am guilty of letting them get away with this..had no idea the voting process was this broken & so easily manipulated..this ridiculous farce will likely be repeated in other lightly populated big western states..

Sorry, Wyoming is a bit depressing when it comes to primaries. You see in our county, there are 3 delegates chosen in December. 2 of those delegates are automatically the 2 committee persons, who have probably been the committeepersons for the last 25 years. Then they choose another in December by vote, and the committepersons get to vote too. I was going to go to the meeting in December, despite the fact that I didn't have a chance, but what the heck, but my kidney decided to pass a stone that day. I go downtown, here in my county, to the largest town in the county 3400 people, I live 30 miles from town, and wearing my RON Paul jacket, that looks like a billboard. I see NO ron paul bumperstickers, no signs, and I dutifully put my slimjims everywhere, and they stay there, till someone throws them out, I suppose. I tell lots of people too, and the ones who have heard of him, say" oh he's good, no chance of being elected" . Wish I could give you better news, but on a positive note, if Ron Paul gets the nomination, almost the whole state will vote for him.

how did duncan hunter just get a vote when he only got 500 votes total in iowa? out of 124,000 votes! wtf?

in other states. Are there any other states where the delegates get picked sooner than is obvious?

As someone comments below, the delegates were chosen in DECEMBER. There is nothing anyone can do right now. This is why people were trying to bump the Wyoming post to the top a few weeks ago.

I for one, am extremely ignorant of the Wyoming process. Is it possible someone give periodic assessments of the status of the votes?
