Robert Taft, Mr. Republican

I found an interesting note when researching Robert Taft, Mr. Republican.

"Mr. Robert Taft sought the Republican (GOP) presidential nomination in 1940, but lost to Wendell Willkie. Taft was regarded as a strong contender, but his outspoken support of non-interventionist foreign policies, and his opposition to the New Deal in domestic policy led many "LIBERAL" Republicans to reject his candidacy."

I thought many here might like to know that, in the past at least, only LIBERAL Republicans supported our world wide intervention and True Conservative Republicans were know as "non-interventionists"! Maybe we should start calling NeoCons "Liberal Republicans"? Please use this against any NeoCons that claim Paul's views are left of Obama's!

About half way down under "Presidential ambitions".

I read an article from a progressive, who...

BRAGGED about stealing the nomination from Bob Taft in 1940.
The same thing happened with Eisenhower in 1952. We win this or it is revolution and it won't be a peaceful one.
