Ron Paul 2012: Intergenerational Conflict?

We see the older generation, the party bosses, the movers, shakers and insiders working their hardest to nip the Ron Paul campaign in the bud in anyway they can, especially through the media.
Is Ron's campaign shaping up into an inter generational conflict, where the younger generation is rejecting war, bailouts and dishonest money, and the older generation is willing to do anything they can to keep the games going?
