Maine (Very Important)
Submitted by candance on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 18:51There are still caucuses to be held..if you have not attended your caucus yet do not let the outcome of today discourage you. That is exactly their plan !!!!
They want you to give up out of frustration.
Who wins the vote in Maine is not as important as who has the delegates. And we are winning that battle in every state so far that has had a caucus. Iowa just elected a Ron Paul supporter as the GOP chairman, the only way that happened was because of the overwhelming number of Ron Paul delegates in Iowa.
It is VERY important that we have the most delegates we can get coming out of Maine to the national convention.
Maine's delegates are NOT bound and are considered Super Delegates at the national convention. THIS IS KEY !!!
So do not be discouraged..get those delegate positions for Ron Paul and round up as many Ron Paul supporters as you can to attend the remaining caucuses.
I'm including OCEANOZ's post from below in the body of the main topic so everyone can see which caucuses have not been held yet.
Remember even if the straw vote will not be included in the totals..it is becoming a delegate or showing up to vote for Ron Paul delegates that is important.
Hancock County-- Gouldsboro, Hancock, Lamoine, Waltham, Sorrento, Sullivan, Winter Harbor, Fletcher's Landing, Aurora/Amherst, Eastbrook, Franklin, Mariaville, Osborn: 18 February
Hancock County-- Castine: 3 March
Kennebec County-- Rome: 16 February
Washington County -- postponed till 18 February ( 47 Towns )

COUNT THE VOTES ANYWAYS
Then we can claim a win, the campaign can claim a win, and Ron Paul can claim a win
So yeah, it matters.
Take pen & paper, and do a public vote count, if at all possible.
Then we get the delegates AND bragging rights.
Between these votes and the "counting errors" in the odd county, we may just win.
THANK YOU- it's SO important that ALL of Paul's supporters VOTE
You may have to show up, and show-up, again. But, if you really do care about this country, think about this: Votes taken FROM Paul are actually OUR votes, taken from US. How's that make you feel?
If you care about your vote, as well as mine, please do show-up in your caucus, wherever it is, and VOTE.
Stay strong, Paul-ites and Paul-delegates. WE are rooting for you.
Please videotape ALL votes, for Paul, for USA, for ALL.
In 2008 a total of 768 people voted
In 2008 a total of 768 people voted in Hancock, Kennebec and Washington counties.
If there is still 16% of precincts not reporting, then there is a huge chance that Ron Paul can overtake that 194 vote difference which the GOP Chairman said is not possible so he declared Romney the winner.
It is important that every Ron Paul supporter go to these counties to give Ron Paul a win and send a message. If Ron Paul wins these counties and overcome his 194 vote deficit, then we can claim that we are being disenfranchised by the establishment (because the chairman refuse to count them) and that they do this to marginalize Ron Paul and not have a chance at all for the GOP nomination.
There is another Maine post
with a link to all the precincts that were actually counted to arrive at the final numbers. It is obvious that they were hand picked to give Romney the victory. It is rather similar to the eight precincts that were "lost" in Iowa. This is just more blatant. Check it out:

Maine Not Counting Votes
The news is reporting that any votes not counted Saturday aren't going to be counted. One district had snow, imagine snow in Maine, and their votes won't be counted.
What's with the short memories?
Why do you guys get yourself all set up to get excited over a beauty pageant win and then depressed for the outcome of the vote?
Check this out and this time try and retain this. If Ron Paul got the most delegates in a given state, well then HE WON THAT STATE. The straw poll is NOT winning the state. Sending the most delegates is WINNING THE STATE.
I'm confused because most of you calling the MSM liars and not to believe this still somehow are going by "their" guidelines of what the winner and loser is. Well which is it? Do you believe what Paul is telling you or John King? Who's the one with the integrity here? I'm so sick of the whining. It's the whining every time.
You watch the results, you know what they are going to be. You know how the whole thing is rigged for pundit fodder before it even happens yet you act surprised and all hurt.
You know it's completely and totally outrageous to wonder if "people believe in the delegate strategy". Wha?? That is the ONLY strategy! For everyone! It isn't a choice whether the votes are winning or the delegates. You won't get the nomination with straw poll votes. You get it with .........................
D E L E G A T E S.
Does everyone have it this time? There is no other plan. There is no other strategy. There is no other path to the nomination for ANY candidate without the delegate strategy.
Enough is enough. Keep on keeping on. Stop whining and get with the program you signed up for. It's all you have.
Ron Paul admits that he needs
Ron Paul admits that he needs a win to remain a creditable candidate for the Republican presidential nomination — and says he believes Maine is his best hope.
Compared with his previous run for president in 2008, Paul has managed to garner two to three times as many votes, but he has yet to win a state and called the results of his caucus strategy so far “disappointing.”
Compared to his GOP rivals, Paul has placed considerable effort into winning Maine, even choosing to skip Florida in favor of campaigning in the Pine Tree State.
Ron Paul: “I believe this momentum will continue,” Paul said. “I’m looking forward to tonight, because I believe it will get a real boost.”
A win is important to show to
A win is important to show to the public and MSM that Paul indeed has or at least a perception that he has the popular vote and propel him to relevancy. It is crucial to a campaign and creates an impact in sending a message, in this case, his Libertarian ideals. Also, if Paul does not win a single State and then win the nomination, many will question the validity of such nomination knowing that Paul never won the popular vote in any State.
If he cannot win against Romney, Santorum or Gingrich in the previous States, the general public will construe that he is unelectable despite finishing strong 2nd or 3rd on other States. I'm really not sure if Ron Paul can win another State (maybe the Western States) because he has spent most of his resources in ME yet he still lost. The important thing now is that he stays to the very end to proselytize his Libertarian ideals. Hopefully he gets enough attention and consider running as the candidate for the Libertarian Party.
It's
about momentum too....even some DP'ers aren't aware of the delegate situation and to be honest, this site has some of the most informed people out there by far. It's about a momentum swing for Paul which would show the country that he is winning states (even though he may win in delegates...noone in this country actually understands this). This allows the MSM to claim Ron hasn't won any states and is unelectable and getting beat by everyone. To me, people sitting on the fence with their vote and taking the MSM at their word (which is quite a number) then start believing in this idea and hence we don't get the momentum swing we could get if accurately portrayed on the MSM. Momentum from this sort of thing also brings free publicity which could be considered free advertising for the campaign to get Pauls message more widely viewed.
All that being said...even with the crappy situation 36% is pretty darn good...nothing to be disappointed with...but we'll see where the chips really fall when the rest of the votes are counted. Can't tell you how many "ceilings" Ron has blown through that the MSM had claimed was his maximum support....we can now ad 36% to that list.
Yes. Delegates are
Yes. Delegates are everything. But watching the GOP and the media do everything in their power to slow RP's momentum is frustrating. Without these forces manipulating things like they do, the general populace would have seen RP "win" a few states by now, and they would be more likely to get behind him as a result. The media appearance of winning states translates into votes in primary states with bound delegates... where the votes actually do matter.
Whats the hell is this mess
Whats the hell is this mess 16th, 18th, 3rd...
So if Ron Paul where to win it would mean even less in terms of momentum, fund raising, etc...

Will Delegate Strategy Equal Donations on Feb. 14th!!!
I will assume that Ron Paul Campaign's Delegate Strategy is working.
The problem with it is perception and money.
Going 0 for 9 has given the pundits and experts the perception that Ron Paul is now a marginal candidate with no possible hope of victory.
More importantly the question now is does Ron's base, the RP Grassroots, believe in the delegate strategy and that he really does have a chance to win and will support him with money.
The Campaign cannot go much further, it is burning thru its cash on hand very fast. Donations are way down. They are running on fumes.
The No One But Paul Money Bomb is this Tuesday. We will find out then if the RP Nation believes in the delegate strategy and that Ron Paul still is in the game.
I truly hope that Washington Co. will deliver its votes for Ron next weekend. But, without a huge Money Bomb success on Tuesday it may not matter.
Romney Buys Maine
So they stole the vote for Romney cuz he needed it. Iowa, Nevada, now Maine. The fact that Mitt Romney would allow MaineGOP to fudge the totals last minute shows TOTAL lack of integrity by BOTH & why he won't EVER be POTUS and why we are leaving the GOP in droves. This was very important to Romney because of his embarrassing losses to Santorum.... so he met with GOP leaders and they agreed to fudge. I wonder how the hell much he paid them all?
BASTID.
PS - the Maine GOP said they won't be counting those who didn't get to vote. Those outlying areas were canceled for a lousy 1" of snow.. .gimme a break. I've driven through 3 feet to vote before!
yeah school isn't even closed
yeah school isn't even closed for that much up here
23
Correction..not canceled but postponed
In Maine the vote is not as important as the delegates.
So if you are reading this and are in Maine in a area that has not caucused yet..it is key that you do so. The GOP is planning on you giving up and staying away, prove them wrong !!!
We absolutely, positively must do....
a delegate moneybomb. We have to make certain that all the delegates can attend the functions.
Great post!
You really prove the fact that you have to think like they do and be one step ahead of the adversary. This is part of the factor. The first part is call it, even if it isn't over and that is a psychological win, PERIOD. You point is sort of like what the media used to do by calling the election before the voters in California had voted and so they decided why even vote. Thanks for posting
If you are in Maine don't
If you are in Maine don't listen to the GOP or the MSM! Attend your caucus. If Ron Paul wins these counties he is the winner regardless of what the GOP chairman wants to claim or believe. Numbers are numbers you can't change how they add up. 2 + 2 will always equal 4 and if you add 3 to it it will be 7 not still 4. So don't be discouraged by this garbage. Get out there and vote in your caucus!
Can you help me?
I know an important God-fearing ministry in Kennebec County that wants to vote for Dr. Paul and may even act as delegates. She lives above Augusta.
She thinks she can't vote, that the caucuses have already been held.
Is there any way she can do so? How can we find out for sure?
What about Washington? She surely could go there.
also by email, Drkresearch@hotmail.com
Feb. 16 is when her caucus will be held
Kennebec County in Rome.
thanks for this
We'll see how many we can get there
Media is Pushing Fiction
There are people on here saying - "come 'on - face the truth" "If we lost, just get up and keep fighting".
That would be good advice if we really knew who won.
But there was no voting yet in 15% of the areas.
Even though we have the advantage for the important delegates, the media that is advertising a Romney win is just pushing fiction.
This is a clear example of slander by those who are declaring Romney the winner.
And we should not ignore this because the public is easily manipulated. And one of the major thrusts of this campaign should be to expose the cockroaches and neutralize them with truth.

Some people need to get on board. Dr. Ron Paul cannot win this by himself. Get out the vote.
grant
get this info out!
so interesting that many counties and their precincts are at ZERO.
NO more counties will be counted
With no more counties counted, they merely switched Ron's 184 lead to Romney and gave him 194.
Sorry but Paul was leading with 184 votes. Romney won only two counties with 16 votes. Suddenly with NO MORE COUNTIES reporting they assigned Romney 194 votes. So actually PAUL WON. I have the screen shots of the GOPS own spreadsheet. SHAME ON THEM. See it on Twitter @nhteaparties
What is MORE important is we still can get more delegates.
Maine delegates are not bound at the national level so it is very important people still show up at these caucuses and fill those slots.
They announced 'new' caucuses for tomorrow.
Where's that list!? Get in there!
