Maine - Not over!?
Submitted by GalanisPsiharis on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 20:25Two main observations...
1) MSM is saying 95% results are in but, Google is showing around 84%.
83.7% reporting (502/600)

2) As Politico mentions at the bottom of this article...
"Notably, not all of Maine’s municipalities have held a caucus yet – tonight’s results only represent about 80 percent of Maine’s towns. According to state GOP chairman Charlie Webster, there are 505 municipalities in Maine, of which 420 have caucused. An additional 40 or so small municipalities will not hold a caucus at all, and the remaining will hold a caucus in the coming weeks."

If there is still roughly 16% left to caucus in Maine, then doesn't that mean that there is a realistic shot at actually winning in the coming days and weeks?

Delegates in Washington County
I understand that the GOP has decided that the straw poll is concluded with 95% reporting and the rest of the votes won't change the outcome, but does that mean the delegates from the missing precincts will not be elected and counted as well??
Not over yet..
...Washington and Clinton Counties. RPers go and attend the caucuses. Vote! Be a delegate! If Romney wins, I know the Maine GOP will validate it. So, go and be counted. Can't let them have their way all the time.
We already WON. Don't believe their lies.

Will He Win Maine Eventually ??
Yes,he may win it in the end,and I expect him to,but what really bites,is that he needed this win heading in to Arizona and Michigan. However, this is a second place in four states, and that is bound to help us with more votes and money.
I did a comparison bet. Google, CNN, MSNBC, Politico
and posted it here (with snapshots and comparison documents).

Sorry
But no, it doesn't. The state organization is declaring the winner based on those who caucused within the party timeframe, those who haven't done so yet can voice their opinion but it doesn't matter at this point.
It all begs the question, what the heck is up with RP turnout? We lost by less than 200....
True
Didn't see that. This is utterly despicable.
