hear me out on this one
Submitted by jrstevenson07 on Sun, 02/12/2012 - 05:49Ok guys, I know you are gonna hate this, but hear me out.
We should get the word out that if we dont have Paul, we are voting for Obama.
Now that you are done vomiting, here is my explanation. A non Paul Republican in the white house means we have 8 more years of freedom thieving warmongers. After that, MAYBE a candidate will be available to save our asses. If Obama is reelected, our wait drops to 4 years. I dont see our salvation coming from the left. Obama was a 1 term senator, maybe Rand would decideto follow suit.
I dont know that thos threat would have any impact on the GoP. Ot would sure as hell be a way of payback for all the times they have screwed Ron Paul. It might even be enough to make them take Paul more seriously at a brokered convention.
For me personally, no Republican but Paul has my vote. No way, no chance, not happening, and Obama might jist get it out of spite.

Post like this seem funny to me
and the comments add to it. Whenever I hear someone say they are going to vote for this person in the General Election or that person, than I hear someone else get mad at them or criticizing them I always feel the urge to jump in and say "The popular vote doesn't count in the presidential race." If Ron Paul is on the ballot for president I will vote for him just to show my support since we came this far together, however if he doesn't I will not vote. Point is, as the 2000 elections reminded us, it is about electoral college and has nothing to do with the popular vote. So vote for Obama. I actually feel like not voting shows I don't support the GOP as well.
Sorry - I have too much "constitution"
I made a promise to myself long ago that I would never:
* Vote for the lesser of two evils
* Vote for one candidate so another one doesn't win
That is locked solid in my moral code (and yes, I think it is immoral and one of the greatest sins against your fellow man to do so). I WILL NOT pley the horse race games, like the Democrat push for Santorum - disgusting. I will never get sucked into that crap again.
I've been "clean" now for about 16 years!

I think you may win
the post with the most down votes.
Ludicrous
emotional knee-jerk reaction.
yep.. some of these posts
yep.. some of these posts lately are very suspect. If Paul is not the nominee I will vote for the Constitution party candidate or Gary Johnson. Vote for Obama? lmao...

I'm writing in Paul, too.
Sure it may get tossed out, but it's still my voice among the many.
I'm voting for Obama too! (Dr Paul supporter)
Payback time to the Republican establishment for censoring Dr Paul! Two can play dirty politics. This is about the little man's liberty be stolen! Saving our Constitution! This is war! Please get the word out!
Neo-con Republicrats
won't care either way. Obomba is just their talking-head/puppet as will the next neo-con stooge will be.
Obama = O.ne B.ig A.ss M.istake A.merica
Could it be that is what the Republicans want you to do?
The insiders kick back, look forward to the 2014 midterms with the anticipation of a Senate and House sweep from the failed Obama administrations socialistic policies. Then we get another Republican big government candidate in 2016 with keys to the fed to feed their special interests. I don't think so. If we stay with the Republicans the new wave of RP libertarians will cause a "creative destruction" within in the party. The RP supporters youth and passion will in time reinvent the party, it's a hostile take over, but a take over non the less. Right now they don't want anyone under 40 to be a delegate,it won't be long before they won't want anyone under 50, then what? 60? We are winning, don't quit now. RP has been at this 30 years, he didn't quit, why should we?
Not a Snow Balls Chance In Hell...
...will I ever vote for Obama or ANYONE unless they have proven to me they will uphold the Constitution and defend the Bill of Rights...period.
Most of us here have come to the conclusion that they will NEVER again vote for the lesser of two evils, and I am surprised that you even suggest this.
I will write in Ron Paul, as I did in'08...

Voting for Obama...
is no different than voting for Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, or another neocon that the GOP could draft at a brokered convention.
My vote will only go to Ron Paul, whether he is the GOP nominee, a third party candidate, or if I have to write him in. Period. I couldn't live with myself if I voted for any other candidate (besides maybe Gary Johnson).
I don't play, I commission the league.
I'm not going to go around and have to say
"Yes, I cast MY VOTE for Obama."
Nope. Not gonna do it.
I would be willing to say, "Obama might have got elected, but I didn't vote for him. I wrote Ron Paul in... because the GOP couldn't see their way to nominating someone who actually stands for, and has... truth, honesty, and integrity PROVEN by an undeniable record. No, instead GOP Leadership cheated and then resigned to get their way."

SAY we will SIT HOME this election: We will not vote NeoCon.
Obama is as NeoConned as the rest. Not voting for him either.
That is the best message.
I remind my neocon Republicans associates that we SAT OUT AND DID NOT VOTE MCCAIN
That is the best message. Make it your message!
You want to act and behave that you don't need us?
You want to laugh at us?
You want to disrespect our Doctor Paul?
You want to Police the world yet cut government?
You want to fail to address our arguments?
You want to have right wing talk radio mock us?
Then BEAT OBAMA all by yourself. Go win it on your own!
We in the RP R3VOLution are sittin this one out.

If Obama becomes re-elected
If Obama becomes re-elected "because Ron Paul supporters voted for him" You can sure forget about Rand in 2016.
Also if Ron Paul would have run 3rd party, a lot of people would have never heard about him.
They gave him a platform at least.
Maybe You would have never heard about him, You joined the DP how long ago?
And post we should vote Obama?
Nuff said.
I Can't Speak ...
for anyone else here, but one thing is ABSOLUTE from my perspective as a Vet. I will vote my conscience, and the litmus test for getting my vote is the intent of the candidate to keep their Oath to the Constitution (validated by past actions - not words).
PERIOD. (That is Not Romeny, Gingrich, Santorum, Jeb, Obama, or any other GOP Establishment goon.)
Say YES to Dr. NO
Another thought. I have not
Another thought. I have not heard any congressmen or senators come forward with a beef regarding the states election results. NONE. Surely there are reps that have concerns but are afraid to state them. I will be writing letters to Linsey Graham and Jim Demint regarding their silence. In the past they have asked for my support and it is time that I ask for their support.

Now is not the time to consider this, actually never would be a more correct time for suicide.
We've a whole lot more campaging to do yet, Michagian, Arizona, Super Tuesday, onwards towards Tampa Bay.
Whatever the RNC ( really nefarious committee ) does to try to stop Ron Paul isn't going to work as the plan is relatively foolproof, get the delegates. And so far so good on that score, but we don't quit mid stream, no we trudge ( walk with intent full purpose ) onwards keeping our focus from state to state untill we sit in Tampa Bay and take back the party rightfully ours.
And for me, it's Ron Paul or no one at all. 2012

Voting for Obama would be
Voting for Obama would be suicide. I can hear him and the rest of his pack now banging the drums of victory with a land slide defeat over the republicans. Not voting at all or voting for the republican candidate that offers to at least bring Dr Pauls ideals forward would be much better options. I will not be voting for the current president.
If an Obama victory...
leads to the corrupt, scummy neocon GOP establishment being drummed out of office, then at least it would have ONE positive benefit. I still refuse to personally contribute to an Obama victory on principle, though.
One thing's for sure - after how we've been treated by the GOP, I will NEVER vote for them in any election unless they're running a Ron Paul Republican. Congrats, GOP, you've driven away a once-loyal supporter, and I'm sure there's plenty more people out there like me.
I don't play, I commission the league.
Four years is a mirage on the horizon
I can't see that far down the road for USSA, that's just a mirage on the horizon. I don't think the country will survive anyone without Ron Paul as President. I am voting for Dr. Paul, even if I must write his name on the ballot, just like I did in 2008.
I can't in good conscience vote for any other candidate, especially when I know good and well what they stand for.
Reality Check
The sad reality is, even if people don't formally vote for a third party, the Paul camp is going to be sufficiently ticked off that they will either NOT vote or write in a candidate or as you say, even vote for Obama out of spite...
This will have the same effect as a third party run even if there isn't one.
And I see the logic of wanting the GOP to become hoisted on their own petard. They deserve to be.
And you're right about the fact that we'd rather have an ADMITTED total communist globalist in there rather than one who PRETENDS to be conservative and constitutional....
But as far as what people will do with regard to staying home, writing in, or voting for Obama, that's a personal choice each person will have to make.
I am leaving the GOP over this and will make speeches about it at my local and county GOP groups first. This is not going to look good coming from GOP Woman of the Year.
Feh.
No smart.
No smart. People don't respond to threats and it reflects very poorly on whoever is making the threat. If you really want to vote for Obama, then go ahead, but doing so out of spite is wrong on so many levels.

Bad Idea.
It would stir up animosity toward the Paul family.
Remember, we are hoping that Rand will run for president some day.
This is has been suggested
at least hundreds of time already.
I don't see any reason to re-hash it all again.
Suffice it to say you can vote for whomever you want to, but there is going to be no mass-voting for Obama coming from here as a strategy.
But, I'm sure that most here won't vote for anybody but RP, so the effect is going to be a heavy impact on the GOP, and on the election, anyway.
You asked for a hearing....
we have heard you. Many have already decided to either vote third party, or write Ron in. Others have decided to vote third party or not vote, sincerely believing RP would not want a write in to take votes away from someone already on the ballot. But to disdain conscience, reason, and liberty, for the candidate who is likely the worst of the lot, seems defeatist, at minimum.

I don't agree with this
Obama has already proven to be worthless, he has already went against everything he said he would be, so in 4 more years of Obama, he can do more damage, then they can pull the oh, we need a republican in office now to change things and then they will get their Romney in. In 8 years it is toast. We need to get their fake republican in now if we can't get Ron Paul in. Our only hope after that is a Rand run.
Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine
The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!
That would be the best way to alienate
the Republican base that we are trying to win over. This was already suggested last week and voted down. Most Paul supporters value their integrity too much to beome hypocites for strategy, not that its a good strategy...there would be major blowback imo.
I would have to vote
for a 3rd party candidate who is pro-life, than vote for Obama. That way my conscience would be clear. We must pray for Dr. Paul to win.
