Going to have to call Maine for Ron Paul
Submitted by joeinmo on Sun, 02/12/2012 - 07:51After reviewing postponed caucuses and other late caucuses that will be run Feb. 18, I can conclude that Ron Paul will win Maine in both delegates and in the straw vote.
With only a 194 vote margin between Paul and Romney, and nearly 20% of the votes still to be counted, the trend has been that Paul has been winning the smaller caucuses 4-1 and with nearly all caucuses left to vote being smaller and more rural, Paul should move ahead of Romney about half way through the count of the remaining caucuses,
When all the straw polls (from this week and next) are added up, Paul will emerge as the winner.
As far as delegates go, regardless of straw poll events and timing, all caucuses will count towards electing delegates and Paul will be the overwelming winner when the entire state count is completed.
The Maine GOP Chair can claim the vote has been stopped, but it hasn't and the entire state will be counted and the eventual winner will be known in both straw votes and delegate pickups.

Let's make sure our Paul friends in Maine
get out to vote Feb 18!
Yes! ALL Ron Paul Supporters Should Caucus; Do Not Let the GOP
disenfranchise you. Their proclamation that votes turned in after yesterday will not count is pure intimidation, and will not stand. If Romney supporters want to stay home, fine, but if you are a Ron Paul supporter, be sure to caucus!
In September, the GOP threatened out-of-state college students (potential Paul supporters) at Maine's universities in order to keep them from voting. The GOP is desperate to ensure a Romney victory in Maine; people need to stand up to their dirty tricks!

High hopes you are right!
And this is exactly how it plays out.
I think if you look at the results
that's how it plays out, that's why the campaign did not concede
