Let's ENCOURAGE Ron Paul to ATTEND the Final Maine Caucuses Feb. 18

I think this is important to do to show that the caucuses are not over and that everyones vote counts and it will be huge news with the media that Paul goes back to Maine, the media will have to cover the finally tally.

Let's make this front page and get it to the Paul campaign.

If we have the votes, then yes, hold a rally

Ron can draw media attention to the result by appearing, but only if a win is very likely based on commitments from local supporters. Showing up for a loss would highlight exactly the opposite of what we want.

i wish he'd promise to go if we raise over 3 million tomorrow

or something like that, give us an incentive!

Let's get every Supporter in New England to attend!

Bump it, spread it, let's make it happen!

I hope he will make a speech at the Vet's march 2/20?

Speaking of Ron Paul's appearances, does anyone know if he will appear at the Veterans March on 2/20? He would be brilliant there.

I don't agree

I don't think he should show up. It would look too much like it was rigged or skewed. If he won the 194 extras without his showing up that would then send a stronger message. Besides these caucus vote don't count as much as delegates do. It would show the confidence Ron has in his campaign by not forcing the issues and sit back and see how the county reacts to the situation on their own. However, I would think that it would be a good idea for all of us RP supporters to do our best effort to get as much RP voters from that county out to vote and become delegates.

It is better to look dumb and not be, than to look smart and not be.

Let them eat crow and...

let the others make "fools" of themselves by crying "RIGGED". Perhaps then the real rigging will be exposed!

Liberty is on the march, tyranny is on the run!

Grow up

Oh, yeah, it would be so much better if you went down to their level. RP is a better man than that. He's a grown up and has more class than his foes. Keep that in mind. I'm pretty sure he won't show up and perhaps just win it out right.

It is better to look dumb and not be, than to look smart and not be.

Agreed!

great idea joeinmo

and a great why to get the voters out and lock in a WIN!!!!! Ron Paul 2012!!!

haha why

great way to get the voters out

send a surogate

He may not overcome the 200 vote gap. Doing that could end up with egg on his face. Perception is reality not the other way around. On a side note go cards. I'm from St Louis Joeinmo

Returning to Maine

Well, if it's feasible Ron return there, I suppose this idea is OK. Otherwise, I think it would be a kink in his plans and plans do involve rest because rest is needed to prepare for upcoming events.

If by encourage you mean to lay out facts that would show his appearance would result in gaining delegates, OK, encourage. But at this point, delegate allotment is in the hands of the individuals supporting Ron, and likely those people know what they ought to do to be an RP delegate or can get in contact with RPers and the staff to learn what to do.

I don't know, guys. If I were him, a man traveling seemingly every other day, I'd want to rest. But in returning to a place that would, not could but would, garner delegates while having a couple rest days on each side of that day, I would do it.

Something to remember: our donations. Ron wants to spend our money well, which excludes redundancy.

PS. Dabooda, below, makes a strong case for RP going to Maine.

Great Idea!!! This Idea Just Might Get Ron Out of Clute, Texas!

Great Idea....going back to Maine this Saturday makes perfect sense for all the reasons stated in this thread thus far.

It might just get the Campaign Staff motivated enough to actually schedule an event this week for Ron and get him the hell out of Texas and back on the Campaign Trail where he needs to be to WIN.

Just incase you haven't noticed, just like after New Hampshire (4 days) and just like before Maine (3 days) Ron Paul has now been in Clute Texas for 2 days and counting with zero events planned for the entire week ahead. Check the Official Campaign Website.

Sound familiar??????

Couldn't agree more

Hero worship aside, Ron is running for president and should be campaigning every day. You do not make news and get taken seriously doing interviews and huddling with advisors at home.

love this idea!!

Encourage

Just here to encourage Ron Paul to do this!

Show the media the horse race they already called isn't over!

Show the Maine Republican Party that the voice of the people does matter!

Easy to get Paul supporters out to caucus as it is, but with your presence we'll easily beat Romney whose supporters, I imagine, already feel good and/or weren't really that motivated for Romney to begin with other than "he's the most likely to beat Obama" (which is the main reason I think Republicans vote for him more than anything else, beats me why they think that).

This is a great idea!

!!

From The Looks of Maine GOP Facebook

There are enough angry folks to start a serious protest in front of the Governor's Mansion.Ron could go up and lead them to the next caucus Feb 18!

professorjoe

will he wake up in time?

Ronnie could have done this BEFORE Maine.

Ronnie didn't work Maine.

That's simple.

That's understood.

He didn't work it, we lost.

The people who support Ron Paul LOST because Ron Paul and his many contribution supported minions deliberately gave away Maine...why did they do that?

I don't want Ronnie anywhere until he answers these basic questions.

The first question is, why the FUCK were you absent between TUES and the vote day, Saturday?

Um, no! Simple answer to your

Um, no! Simple answer to your defeatest post. He did "work Maine" if you remember. Even the media gave him credit for being Maine and him and Romney were the only two competing there. We didn't win because one of the most Ron Paul friendly counties was not even counted and not included in the results. Remember Ron is still a congressman and campaigning nationwide. So instead of complaining you can do some more phone calls, knock on some more doors, or go to Maine yourself and try to convert some more people.

He wasnt' there you idiot

Ron Paul made no appearance betwwen Tuesday and Saturday.

He shanked Maine. He blew it. He did that.

Ronnie blew it

It's past time for this kinda action.

In the week leading up to the Maine announcement, Ron Paul made ZERO campaign appearances ANYWHERE.

If you are too old dude, just admit it and get the hell out.

There is NO possible excuse for what Ron Paul's campaign did in Maine.

No excuses exist.

They didn't provide literature or any other help until it was clear the grass roots people almost put that state over the top.

AND, most importantly, people in the Ron Paul campaign deliberately sabotaged reporting of the vote tallies per county.

Ron Paul personally must answer to this.

Ron Paul's campaign DID sabotage Maine. They need to answer some very obvious questions.

The first is, where the bleep was Ronnie between Tuesday and Saturday?

What a terrible way

to look at things.

Dr. Paul has been fighting for the people before a lot of us were born. The freedom movement wouldn't exist without him, and now who knows how many young people will be in the House and Senate or maybe the White House in 20-30 years who were inspired by Dr. Paul. We are all going to elect more constitutionalists and libertarians to our local offices and state offices.

There is no measuring how much this man has done for us. You take the opportunity to bash someone who has given everything, including taking on the most powerful interests in the world, and not asked for much in return.

You are allowed to think what you want, but if you are truly a RP supporter and freedom movement advocate you need to start taking the long view and thinking big picture.

I was born and voting

I also ran the sig drive which gave Ron Paul his first state in his first run for the presidency, in '88.

I don't take a back seat to anyone.

Ron Paul simply BLEW Maine.

Why?

Why did the campaign delibertely LIE to everyone about the results?

And, they DID lie.

They enlisted Mike here at DailyPaul to do it for them.

They lied.

Now they must answer for it.

I'm asking them to answer for it.

Any intelligent person will do the same.

So Ron may yet be proven to

So Ron may yet be proven to be the winner of Maine over Romney, and even if he doesn't he's still within two hundred votes of Mitt in his own neck of the woods. If Mitt with all his money, resources, and media in his hands..only managed to beat out Ron without unlimited capital, and without media hype, and with the GOP trying to shut him up, by only 194 votes..I'd say that's a pretty decent showing. You are doing no good by being negative. Delegate bud, delegates.

Dear Dr. Paul,

I have been a passionate supporter of your campaign for liberty for over four years now. I've seen GOP primary election fraud in 2008 in New Hampshire, Nevada, Louisiana and other states. Now in 2012 we see fraud in New Hampshire, Nevada, and now Maine.

The time has come for you to shine a "billion candle-power spotlight" on this fraud.

I ask you to initiate an investigation of Maine GOP caucuses and I suggest that Bev Harris be involved together with election fraud lawyers with the publicly-announced intention of filing Federal election-tampering felony charges for Charlie Webster, Michelle Dale and Michael Quatrano of the Maine GOP.

These actions will send a clear message to the remaining GOP primary states that felony charges await them should they make the mistake of continuing the GOP election fraud.

sincerely,

ecliptic

I understand your frustration, ecliptic, but I don't think it is

properly guided. You see, the time has come for all of US to take matters into our OWN hands...not to beg for Ron Paul to do it all himself and come rescue us. We need to get off our arses and get more involved in the political process. Copious blogging, Facebooking, Tweeting, and other online stuff is all well and good, but it only goes so far.

Running for local, state, and national office is preferred. But this is a tall order for most (including myself). In lieu of this, we can get more involved in our county GOP central committees. Show up at the meetings, take part, volunteer to help out, whatever. We can also get more involved in local city politics such as running for city council, planning commission, transportation commission, or other positions. If this is too much for you, then sign up for a volunteer position with one of these groups where you play a lower-key role in supporting more liberty-minded folks like us.
----------------------------
The Main(e) Goal?
We need to be the ones in charge of the election process and the counting of votes!!!
----------------------------
It's time we stopped pointing fingers at others and complaining about the process...or begging for Ron Paul or someone else to come save us. We can only blame ourselves for this problem and we have to take the responsibility for fixing it.

Please don't take this the wrong way. This is a wake-up call to myself as much as it is to Ron Paul Nation.

I appreciate your

comment, but remain steadfastly in the "throw the book at fraudsters" category. Period.

The government holds We The People hostage with tens of thousands of arbitrary overlapping "codes" which are inherently unlawful and which are enforced at the whim of The State.

I say We The People throw the government's book back at 'em with the full force of their "law" and using all the totalitarian mechanisms they have created to enslave us. Once the scumbags are all rotting in their fancy multimillion dollar "supermax" jails for decades or more then we can begin to dismantle their evil panopticon.

Just deserts for fascist chickenhawks.

I totally agree with you

about the problem of fraud that is taking place and how we should throw the book at them. I'm just saying that we need to work harder at being the ones who not only throw the book, but also write (and judge the outcome of) the book that is being thrown.
