How to Cherry Pick a Caucus 101 (or, How they got their total)

250 precincts not counted in total !

We need this downloaded, a lot more than 17% of the vote not counted! Aroostook is a county total inclusive of 68 precincts that are zero. I included this because of the ease in which it could be manipulated. Ron did win but without totals he may have won by more.

Does anyone have the same document from 2008 to compare it to? That would be a good way to determine how many are expected to have had any turnout.

And although per candidate totals match, for instance, what's on goog, I am 92 votes short when summing the per caucus votes.

IOW. 92 votes that candidates received were miscounted/misentered in ten rows--an incorrect vote total for all candidates in that precinct. Some were obvious boo-boo's, and they probably all were, but still shows a general sloppiness.

It took me fifteen minutes to import the numbers and see whether everything balanced and then track down where numbers didn't jive.

Pennobscot -- Bangor has a total vote count of -0- when 77 votes were cast.
At least it's a row issue, not a column issue.

Of all the precincts that did not get to vote or showed zeros, That we can target with phone calls and mail outs. A crime will not be committed until Saturday. At that time I believe the voting will take place but there will be ringers and the disillusioned will not show and vote. The Party has a lot of precincts with zeros.

Did some towns not caucus

and plan not to caucus? For instance, was Acton in York County EVER going to caucus? I understand about Washington County but I see a lot of zeros in other counties that could mean:
A. Nobody showed up to caucus.
B. The caucus was postponed till a later date.
C. There was never going to be a caucus in those towns.
D. A caucus was held but the results were lost/never reported.

No, no more votes will be counted per the state GOP leader. They plan to not include the upcoming caucuses or the absentee ballots in the state totals.

County Chairman implies he'll ask them to reconsider

Right now they are saying the votes won't be counted, but Washington County GOP chairman Chris Gardner is suggesting this decision is not final. He claims he will be sending the totals in, and has implied that he will ask them to reconsider. I think supporters should show up.

"Refusal to reconsider under those circumstances would be extremely disheartening," he told The Associated Press. "I trust that the party will make the right decision here."

As Chris Gardner is a Romney supporter, one can only guess what he means when he says, "I trust that the party will make the right decision here."

From what I understand, all of Washington County and part of Hancock county have still not voted. The Washington County was the super caucus with the greatest concentration of voters in the state.

The forecast was for 3-4" of snow, which doesn't even close their schools down there. Rather than 3-4", they got a dusting of snow. Even the Girl Scout event was not cancelled.
