Clarifying Registering to Vote in New York State

There has been some confusion about registering as a voter in New York State and I'd like to clarify some things. This is positive for the Paul campaign.

I was led to believe after reading some posts on dailypaul that one had to register a year ahead of time in New York State to be eligible for the primary. It may have been my fault as the reader and no fault of the poster. But, there are a lot in the Paul community who seem to think this, at least among those whom I've spoken with.

This is true regarding CHANGING PARTY AFFILIATION IF YOU WERE ALREADY REGISTERED. To do that, you would have to have changed parties by October 2011. HOWEVER, TO REGISTER FOR THE PRIMARY, ONE HAS UP TO 25 DAYS BEFOREHAND TO DO IT.

A lot of college kids who might support Paul can still be registered.

NYS March 30th Deadline

A friend of mine from LI, had this confirmed for her at the DMV. She was told first time voters can still register for the primary. She took some voter registration cards to hand out.

We have tons of colleges out here. I have three on SI. This is where we can make change and pick up a few delegates for the good Dr. NYS is not winner take all. I was told is Paul wins the Congressional district he gets a delegate!
