Actions speak louder than words

You want Liberty. You want democracy. It won't happen on its own.

The reason the media wins all our elections is because we let them. We complain! We threaten! And we do nothing else! The giant corporate entities know exactly how to get the results they want while ignoring you. It has always worked.

The two major political parties are the same. They are the largest and most powerful corporations in the world. It is clear they don't care which party wins elections they only care that one of their insiders wins and they show us how they do that election after election.

Voting has become pro forma! The winners are chosen for us and the elections are manipulated to achieve their desired outcome. They really don't even care about the appearance of democracy.

You have heard this said in many different ways; "People can be divided into three groups: Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened."

Let's make something happen for the people and for Ron Paul. He is doing EVERYTHING he can do and the rest is up to us.

Turn off all major media sites on TV, radio and the internet until someone in corporate America notices...Don't quote them here or anywhere else. They will notice quickly.

Skeptics read on: The Economic Boycott: Is It Moral? Does It Work?
by K.C. Garvey

Marshall Glickman wrote that, "A nationwide survey of business executives indicated that they consider boycotts more effective than class-action suits, lobbying and standalone letter writing campaigns. Companies hate the loss of sales and negative publicity these campaigns bring--an image problem that...can dog them for decades, even after they've reformed."

Glickman said "the truth is, once you know about a boycott, it is pretty simple to follow. And the good news is that when boycotts are well organized, they can really work."

Rhetoric is a poor substitute for action, and we have trusted only to rhetoric. If we are really to be a great nation, we must not merely talk; we must act big.—Theodore Roosevelt

I like your thinking

But I do believe it's a problem when the Corporation can print it's own money.

But, what happens when that Corporation's money becomes worthless and has no value? Then what power do they hold?

Thank you!

I hope we can keep this conversation going and get input from others. I do agree with the next writer who says it would have to be organized on a large scale. It may be just wishful thinking but I've been watching the media influence for so long (since Goldwater) that it makes me sad.

For such an action to work, someone

would have to mount a campaign that united factions across the political spectrum. It would have to be more universal in appeal that Occupy so far.
