What wasn't discussed
is if there is a required length of time one has to live in the state before registering. Like if I were required to live in Maine for at least a month or two before being allowed to claim residency.
hang on there-- Being STUDENT not allowed to vote??
What the...??
I came to Texas, from Connecticut, when I was 17. With the PREZ election coming up (yea, 1976), I was too young to register in CT, but was ABLE and LEGAL to vote in Texas. I DID register, in Texas, the day before my 18th b/day, which was exactly thirty days prior to election day. This Charlie guy is NOT an attorney and he OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT GET IT.
I never drove, when i was a kid. I was 27 before I ever got a license, so this guy is an idiot. Yes, I WAS an out-of-state student, and YES; I DID register to and did VOTE in the 1976 election, in TEXAS.
Charlie is a FOOL. He does not comprehend that Americans can vote wherever they are. If it's as a student, paying out of state tuition, it's still appropriate that he or she would vote wherever he goes to school. The only thing is; OF COURSE, you cannot vote in more than one state, but I really don't think that's an ISSUE, Charlie.
What a dopey guy Charlie is!
Please videotape ALL votes, for Paul, for USA, for ALL.
