Welcome to the United Soviet States of America
Submitted by T Smith on Sun, 02/12/2012 - 15:14This is no longer the America many of us have come to know. This is no longer the land of free, home of the brave. We have become a union of soviet states, in the literal sense. A "soviet" is nothing but an unelected council. And when our elections are fixed, engineered, and tabulated by high party officials in secret, they are nothing but theater and a sham for public consumption. When our states select our representatives for us we have become nothing but a union of unelected councils. It is as simple as that. We have witnessed election fraud in Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, and now perhaps the most blatant example to date in Maine. Apologists of the status quo and election fraud deniers alike can no longer credibly rebuke the fact that the GOP is fixing this nomination. The result is we have become a soviet-style system so long as we continue to condone this criminal action. Welcome to the USSA.
Actually, our system of governance is worse than that our former communist foes. The people of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics were under no illusions that they were anything but a one-party totalitarian state. Yet many citizens in the United States blindly subscribe to the masterful illusion of the two-party state, which as historian Carroll Quigley corrected observed is nothing but a one-party system disguised to dupe us unsuspecting serfs into believing we have a political voice. Many citizens in the United States have bought into Madison Avenue trickery and statist propaganda and blindly subscribe to the notion that we are represented in government. Many citizens believe we are still a free country, that our Constitution is still in tact. And while we have enjoyed many freedoms in past times of incredible prosperity, founded in large part on borrowed greatness by a nation fortunate to maintain world reserve currency status, we are rapidly approaching a totalitarian system of governance, highlighted by the recent passage of the NDAA, by the pending censorship of free information, and by the imminent collapse of the dollar as the world's reserve currency. We are one crisis away from our once great economy falling to 3rd-world status. We are one conflict away from providing our illustrious government a shot of power in the arm that will make Hitler's Nazi Germany look like Mr. Roger's neighborhood. Now is time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their country. It's time to wake up folks! (and I realize I'm speaking to the choir here). We need to shout at the top of our lungs on the roof-tops of every building if necessary to wake as many people up as possible. As Goethe so aptly noted, none are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free...
The beauty of the system of governance established by the founders of our great nation is, so long as the Constitution is still the formal and official law of the land, we can turn this around. Yes, we may not be free for all intents and purposes; yes, the Constitution may be a mere formality; yes we may have sham elections at present, but unlike the former USSR and other brutally oppressive totalitarian regimes, we are bound only by our own illusions. We are not bound (yet) by law. We can turn this around! Our Soviet States of America exist only as long as the sleeping masses remain in trance, and only as long as we continue to condone this criminal action. We can and will free ourselves and we can restore our Republic. The Maine GOP may have made a grave error by robbing Dr. Paul of his rightful win in Maine. They may well have roused a sleeping giant.

Great article. Well put

Question is
Will frogs wake up before they are boiled to death?
