My run-in with the county sheriff's...two of them
Submitted by David A Dudenhoefer on Sun, 02/12/2012 - 18:05This weekend featured an annual city event (Detroit) The Motown Winter Blast. This event had a variety of indoor and outdoor events for the family. I along with a few other supporters for Dr. Paul came with our small rally signs and some slim jims to hand out. We picked some spots that were not in the way of folks having a good time and being respectful of others. For three days we went, paid our entry fee of one can of food for charity and went about our business and with a good response.
On the last day, I encountered one of the Wayne county sheriffs, who approached me to say that he appreciated seeing me as he is a Ron Paul delegate in Dearborn. We talked about philosophy for about 10 minutes, he wished me luck and went on his way.
After 2 solid days and 4 hours today, I was approached by a security guard and asked to leave. When I asked why, his response was that I was distributing literature and that there were merchants who paid for their spaces. I informed him that I was aware about being indoors with literature, but that I was ok outdoors as this had been the case for the past two days. I asked to talk with an actual officer and the guard and I approached another country sheriff's deputy, the guard stated his case to the sheriff's deputy , the officer took a look at me as if I was bothering him, held up his thumb and said, "ya gotta go".
I then told him if he wondered why moral between the citizens and law enforcement was so poor, this would be an example. No mention of the law or any ordinance, which I knew I was in the right, just a snap judgment, because two men in uniform are not going to go against one another, and because I am sure it came up only because someone complained. I asked that at the very least officers could be constant, as I reminded him of how long I had been there and how many times they had walked by me.
Two sheriff's deputies, two sets of rules, This is a small example of why we fight the police state to restore some sense of freedoms in the crumbling country.

Maybe you planted a tiny seed of doubt
in one or both of their brainwashed heads, let's hope so.
