Where is Rand?

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but it seems to me that, since Iowa, Rand has not been on the campaign trail much, if at all. And I can't remember the last time Rand has been interviewed since Iowa (except for a bit on the TSA). I realize the media may be blacking him out, too.

I perceived Rand as a tremendous asset for the campaign going in; a surrogate on the trail that could get media attention, pull crowds, and win votes. Ron can't be everywhere. Rand could help fill some of those gaps.

What gives?

I think Rand mostly plays the role of our eyes and ears

inside the beast. He and Ron are very, very sharp and more so together. I honestly believe that they are working a very cunning but necessarily hush, hush game of 20 level chess.

The peeps we are fighting are a very tough lot w/ unlimited resources. Ron and Rand know they can't beat them w/ a overt frontal assault. No more than Belgium(or any other tiny army) could defeat the US military by conventional means.

BTW-Does anyone know if Rand still lives w/ Ron in DC?

"You are a den of vipers and thieves."

I mean to rout you out!

-Just because you are among us, does not make you with us

-The door is wide open, anything can slither in

I think Rand could be a lot more help.

He's not that needed in Washington. The big fight of the century is Ron Paul for President. Without winning that fight, Rand will slink into Congressional obscurity just like all the others. Out on the campaign, he could be making some noise. He ought to be the point man blasting out voter fraud in Maine. He's fresh off a Senate run, he knows a few things of dirty politics. It's baffles me why he's nowhere in sight. He really didn't even make a ripple at CPAC. That was a great opportunity to sound off on Ron Paul's platform that no one else can touch (i.e. cutting foreign aid and depts.)

I could not disagree more.

His role in the Senate is JUST as strategic as getting his father elected.

The Senate is one of the most corrupt of the Federal institutions...and it needs all the help it can get.

I disagree, Rand has been

I disagree, Rand has been generating a lot of publicity/news articles about all the various legislation he has been supporting...doing interviews, writing Op-Eds, etc. He has become very visible, very quickly, and that helps us probably more than just by attending rallies, etc.

He also went to CPAC

They didn't mention him at CPAC as a candidate which was very odd.... I expected him to at least place in the top 4 but Ron was 4th on the list at CPAC and he didn't even show up!

How many were on the CPAC ballot?

Placing fourth out of four is no great feat.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

He was In Nevada with his dad

and even spoke at a few of the rallies.

100% AGREED leafbwoy...well said!

I might add...yes it is true Rand has a different style than his dad.

I think he must have some of Carol's traits too for sure (of being agreeable)...which makes him all the more adept at being a stealth weapon.

But make no mistake he is a nightwatchman on things related to Liberty.

All of the long-time Paul Purists who view anybody thats not a pure Paulbertarian as suspect need to please DROP IT and concentrate on the campaign.

Being staunchly individualists and independence-minded...we are a DIVERSE group.

The elder Dr. Paul is quietly amassing libertarians, republicans, independents, conservatives, tea partiers, ex-neocons, disillusioned Obama democrats...and Senator Paul is one of our links to the conservative, tea party and neo-con portion of that base.

I regularly get emails from HIS campaign asking support for his father...as well as support for gun rights, etc.

Rand is playing it right.

Let's do this and broker this baby and get Dr. Paul the nomination!

thank you sharkhearted

sorry just had to vent my frustrations with people about rand
its so obvious what his strategy is
and he will be president for it

Rand has been all over...

...most noticeably, he has been on Hannity's radio show several times, doing a bang-up job of defending his father and bridging the gap.
I agree with the dude below who said that Rand is just like his father, and that he is just doing a much better job of not alienating the neocons. I think Rand will be president, and I think a Rand Paul presidency will be every bit as good for the nation as Ron Paul presidency, just much easier to achieve.
If we don't get enough delegates to win, we sure will get enough to catapolt Rand for 2016.
I think people like Hannity and Limbaugh trapped themselves in an ideological corner they can't get out of, and Rand Paul is their answer. They can support Rand for the next four years, even though he is the same essential thing as Ron, but they don't have to look "uncool" by supporting old crazy Ron.
I'm a huge Ron supporter and I still have hope that we can pull this thing out this year, but if not, I strongly think Rand can take the torch, and run with it to the White House, much easier than Ron can.

rand paul haters phuck you

rand paul haters
know that rand paul is a good stepping stone for conservatives that paul cant awaken
he plays to the neocons more as a bridge to his father
he is exactly like his father and i laugh when people say other wise
not to quote alex but it is an infowar
and hes doing what he and most likely his father think is the path he needs to take to get elected president, if paul doesnt.
so respect it rand is ron
no matter what he says publicly that you disagree on hes obviously playing their game more than ron does
rand is almost like a spy or infiltrator for ron paul so remember when he gets support from palin for example it will be harder for them to turn on him

I know one thing he can do well...

....punctuate.

Rand is right HERE

http://politicalnews.me/?id=11761

I sent my personal private detective out to find him. Oh, no I didn't. I googled him and clicked the "news" option.

I don't always agree with Rand or like what he says, but he has been busy doing good work, it seems.

Whatever else I said a minute ago, the last word I want to get in is
LOVE!

I support Rand

Rand is doing his best, as far as I can see, to eliminate the fed govt from destroying his state. He got the No Child Left Behind taken away from his state.

I will keep donating to Rand. I like where he is going with his votes and stands.

His goal is a balanced federal budget.

Not Impressed with CPAC Speech

Don't want to be a Monday Morning Quarterback. I usually apreciate Rand since he's eloquent. However, his CPAC speech was lame. Playing into the left right game, and hitting Obomber during the majority of the speech. Sounded like a teleprompter to me. Let's hope for better. Time's running out for this politics game. He should take a cue from his pops.

While I do not disagree with you

I found his speech very good, and very informative as far as federal spending, as with Solyndra and Robert Kennedy's big govt money grab. Those programs are his main interest. Those programs, as he points out, are big rip offs of tax money.

Rand?

Good! Keep him out of the way! He doesn't talk like his father and I'll never vote for him;

Rand voted for;

- sanctions on Iran
- supports military tribunals

God only knows what else he supports!

Great patriot he is! Palin endorsed him which to me was the "kiss of death".

Anyway...

Not only is Rand doing WAY TO LITTLE, he's even getting a few things wrong in the message (vote for Iran sanctions, unprincipled rhetoric concerning the TSA during a Hannity interview).

Now I will probably never agree 100% with someone so thats ok, but NOT doing EVERYTHING for his father this election cycle thats to much!

I passed a message to 2 of his staffers to tell him he should go to Alaska to speak for Ron.

Anyway...

Too, a good word to learn.

Meanings and uses of too:

1. Also, in addition, as well as. I'm going too.

2. Excessively, beyond enough, unacceptably. You're too rude for my taste.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Rand was busy this past week

representing his dad at CPAC. He was also busy in the Senate, he is a Senator, remember, trying to shut down the assault on the internet. I would imagine he also tries to find a little time to spend with his wife and family. Give the guy a break, why don't you?

"Give the guy a break"?

I'm not wondering why Rand hasn't been on the road continuously, appearing for days on end in every contested state. I'm asking why he's been INVISIBLE.

Rand probably would've been at CPAC if Ron was NOT running (darn near every Republican in the country speaks at CPAC).

"Busy in the Senate"? Please.

His father is running for President, in probably the most significant political effort in our lifetime, and Rand is in a position to make a difference. It's downright weird that he's been a no-show in the past month-plus.

I was wondering the same

I was wondering the same thing every contest since Iowa. Makes me think Rand is more worried about 2016, than his fathers 2012. I hope I'm wrong...

I think you might be wright,

I think you might be wright, I'm not going to like having to force myself to vote for him...

"Give me Liberty or give me death." Patrick Henry

The last I saw him

was on Freedom Watch after Nevada... the one episode that may have got the show canceled. In that segment Rand responded to the Judges question about possible shenanigans in Nevada by saying that in the last election 4 years ago many of the votes got locked away in a safe "The Count Room" inside a casino.

Rand didn't look too happy after Iowa... he definitely knows it's all rigged. I hope he didn't get hushed.

Rand laying low on purpose? What purpose?

I can only assume there's a reason fir his layong low...but what that reason is escapes me. Perhaps he doesnt want to "outshine" his dad wuth regards to presentation (lets face it, Rand gives a stump speech thats easier for the masses to digest) or maybe he's trying not to make too many enemies before his run in 2016. Who knows? Cant wait to find out though.
