Help me get 420 downloads and I'll personally donate $2500 to RP2012!
Submitted by Kevin McKernan on Sun, 02/12/2012 - 23:51I'm a serial start-up type of person. Mitt Romney once performed a Ribbon cutting ceremony for one of our start-ups and our family was enamored with him and his support of entrepreneurship ever since. http://www.medicinalgenomics.com/history/.
The Irony in this picture is two-fold. The picture of Agencourt in the backdrop reminds me of the recent New York times cover article of Mitt winning Maine but surrounded by Ron Paul banners. Ron's campaign shares many analogies to the battle of Agincourt where technology and spirit won an outnumbered war. Secondly, my latest start-up (Medicinal Genomics) has educated me on how Mitt doesn't deserve my support any more. I have recently started a company which decoded the Cannabis genome to better understand the genetic pathways which govern the synthesis of many of the medicinal compounds in this forbidden plant. We put the genome public for free Aug 18th 2011 on the Amazon EC2 cloud.
This exercise has made me a libertarian as I came to witness the enormous lack of compassion which existed in our GOP & Democrat leadership. I began to see their blatant ignorance for the pertinent priority this plant should have in our health care and states rights debate. I became concerned over their failure to see the job loss induced and the economic albatross the war on drugs has become. This has not only earned my support of RP2012 but I have surprisingly been able to sway some of my family members who were long time Mitt supporters to the RP2012 camp. Foreign Policy was the biggest hurdle but Santorums attacks on Rons bill passing success rate was another hurdle.
Why should the Ron Paul audience care about The Cannabis Genome Project? Obama has put a price on millions of jobs being worth over $400B with his jobs program. At the same time we spend over $50B/yr to imprison 7.8M cannabis using US citizens who have committed non-violent victim-less crimes in the last 10 years alone. These people have a much harder time getting a job afterwords so their $48,000/year prison fee is only the beginning of the support we tax payers commit to them. Only Ron Paul understands this and many other health care related economic crimes of our time. Please help us get the word out about the science and politics of the Cannabis Genome Project debuted in the ipad app called Jane-Ome (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/jane-ome/id491243332?mt=8). If after 2/10 we reach 420 downloads of the $1.99 app, I will personally donate $2500 to Rons campaign. Proceeds from the App fund further science on this plant. This personal donation is not a corporate donation and does not reflect the position of anyone but me. Please help us get the word out and I'll help RP2012. And yes, there are some Ron video clips in the app:)
We will win Maine in the end
