Though they will say it is only a "projected" winner, for the vast majority it is taken as gospel.

Keep in mind who we are really talking about when we say the "MEDIA"-Overwhelmingly, it is a handful of multinational conglomerates w/ massive stakes in who becomes POTUS.

There is no legitimate reason to rush the tallying of votes and every reason to demand that no results can be reported until all votes are counted.

Note that: In some primaries/caucuses thus far, the MEDIA reported results have varied widely from-BAM-instantneous tally right at poll closing to odd slow downs in the flow of precinct reports. Yes, some of that is due to specific legitimate differences in each states process but much is not explainable by those differences.

The MEDIA is already restricted from reporting their exit poll info until the polls close, on the basis that doing so would result in influencing those yet to cast their votes.

I think the entire process needs to be both slowed down-to ensure every vote is counted-AND made completely transparent. There is no legitimate argument against either of those corrections and the only reasons to maintain the counting/reporting process as it now stands is to leave the door open to manipulation.

The simple question is:

Is it reasonably easy to design a vote casting and counting process that is essentially voter and election fraud proof?

The simple answer is:

Yes it is and it is obviously critical if the steak of our nation is to have any resemblance to the sizzle.

Clearly, the current reality is the way it is to ensure the long entrenched powers stay that way. That reality extends well beyond the voting/counting process-all of us should be painfully aware of that at this point.

There is a huge opportunity for us to make lemonade out of the entire process of how power is granted by the people lemon. That opportunity is most ripe now because RP running is causing the greatest peek at the ugly reality we have ever seen and are likely to see again for a long time.

Sorry Im a Ron Paul supporter. But you really need to do your own homework before you put a video out like that.

Focus all your energy on contacting voters, becoming a delegate, influencing people of Ron Paul's message.

Evidence:

1) Less "popular" candidates do better in caucus (paper ballots, publicly counted)vs. primary (electronic voting) states.

2) Exit poll sample sizes are too small to allow predictions and demographic analysis with the claimed level of accuracy.

3) Software programs exist that can allow the manipulation of results from voting machines.

Devil's advocate:

1) There are many other uncontrolled variables including the convenience and public nature of the voting.

2) I am not a statistician. Is there a standard for determining the confidence level for such polls?

3) Since this programmer did his work in 2000, have there been any changes in the machines to increase their security?

I was generally disappointed in this video.

It was too long for one thing. It packed one minute of information into a 23 minute video.
It promised a smoking gun and gave very weak arguments instead.
Comments and ratings were disabled.

There is already too much NOISE and too little information about this very important topic.

This is embarrassing. They make predictions based in their exit polls. What is so hard to grasp about that?

Just one person who made a YouTube claiming that exit polling is not accurate enough for the networks to base theit first election results projections.

Come on guys. The margin of error in their exit poll is, statistically speaking, 2.0%. This means there is a 95% probability that their results will be accurate within two percentage points assuming their sampling is truly random. The poll showed the margin of victory to be 14%. The probability that their polling would be wrong, assuming random sampling, is literally less than .00000001%. Unless the illuminati is writing national laws AND mathematical laws, it was very unlikely to be wrong.
