Bangor TV Poll: Should Maine caucuses re-vote?
Submitted by Puma for Life on Mon, 02/13/2012 - 10:45Do you think the Maine caucuses should have a re-vote, since Washington County was not counted?
About half way down on the left...so far the Yes vote is winning.

95% yes. Wow, I'd say that is a majority!
Yes 94.94% (1,972 votes)
No 5.06% (105 votes)
Total Votes: 2,077
Funny who voted no?
Funny who voted no?
How many GOP county chairs,
their spouses, etc.? Can't imagine anyone else in Maine not wanting their votes actually counted.
wow
Almost as many yes votes as they claim RP got

A better question
would be "Should ALL the votes be counted?" Even though the momentum has passed it would be only fair to count the votes of EVERY caucus and release the totals.
Just like Iowa the order may change but at least the people would feel their voice had been heard...even though it doesn't matter since the delegates have already been selected.
It would give us the satisfaction of knowing we won and it would be something to bring up in future interviews and elections.
Having said all that from a legal standpoint the GOP is a private organisation and makes its own rules. By the same token it can waive the rules in special circumstances, This present situation would certainly qualify.

Agreed
.
Can't count what NO LONGER exists.
How I wish we could, though.
Start with Maine and then every place after that, before the votes suddenly vanish once again as though they didn't exist.
Why not have a revote statewide,
if the original results were so flawed? If Washington County is voting next Saturday, couldn't the rest of the state vote again then?
Why re-count...
just count Washington FFS. Why do people always go about shit the hardest way possible.
Delegates win.. Here's how.

Many results not counted - please see

Over 1200 votes so far.
"Yes" has 93% now.
Go ahead and vote on this one. Send the Maine GOP (and the GOP everywhere) a clear message!
They hurt their own people as much as the Paul supporters
They are denying their right for a vote. Thats BS. Its one thing if the GOP told everyone to caucus before the 11th and they ignored it. However, they got canceled due to bad weather and then get told screw you, your vote doesn't count now. Even my democrat dad admits that Paul has a right to complain about the cheating.

It's interesting that instead
It's interesting that instead of allowing Washington Co to vote they are advocating the entire state a re-vote.???????
And this is America
Washington countty will not be counted.
Pretty damn sad. IN the land of the free. I really dont have words for this.
Just pretty messed up.
But if Maine people let this go, I say how free are you Maine.
Again pretty damn sad!!!
Voted (YES, of course)
current total for yes was near 900 at the time :)))))))))))

Ironically, real journalism would reveal to American citizens that broadcast news has become a racket.
Please vote here.
They need to see a huge surge of interest so the heat keeps on the Maine GOP.
Voted yes
if their vote doesn't count then they should not have to pay their taxes, that is the way I see it.
