Getting rid of the electronic voting machines...

It seems strange that we haven't all decided.. ahh screw it, let's just either A. destroy them. B. make them inoperable (i.e. superglue your voting form on the screen) C. Just haul them out of the polling stations and drive straight to the dump.
If we all start doing it- more people will and we will have a real revolution- saying hey, the vote is rigged, and we're not voting on these shitty machines anymore. We demand a transparent hand count of votes!

Electronic machines can still be used but they need OPEN Source Code and a way to verify that the code running has not been tampered with.
You could have a ballot ID given after voting and go to the web to verify totals and your particulars.. be able to track your vote all the up to the collected totals... Click the Totals link and your Ballot ID (random unique) will be listed among all others cast for that candidate (or initiative or whatever)
but YES short of this... throw them out!

A voter simply wants verification that can hold up to scrutiny; say a recount for example.

... speaking personally with your local election clerk. I've done this repeatedly and in a polite but forceful manner demanded she remove the machines. She countered with "Federal law" i.e. H.A.V.A. ... she also said that todays complex ballots with initiatives etc would be "too hard" to manually count. The machine sits over in a closet - I think she said it cost around 1 million dollars... I asked her if she believed it was trustworthy and she said yes - the machine checked out in a routine accuracy check which to her credit was a public event I attended. I then pointed out that all that would be necessary to commit fraud would be for the two "certified operators" or whatever they are called to be detained from the polling place, for instance due to an accident or emergency, and then the manufacturer's representative ( i.e. fraud operative ) would have to run the show . . . In other words the fact that only two people need to be "taken out" in order to take over the process meant that she and her assistant were basically "marked" for "detainment" or worse should the need arise to take over the process ( for instance if it was very likely a Ron Paul liberty candidate was about to win. . .)
If you dig into the history of how and why these machines are now everywhere ... you find intelligence operatives and GOP ties . . . Hmmmmmmm...

I see that Maine has updated the votes, without Washington County, and I found several discrepancies. This Appears to be an Excel spreadsheet, you know, drag the formulas down/across the columns/rows. Wrong. Check out Penobscot County, Alton, Bangor and Dixmont caucuses. Somerset County: Cambridge caucus.
Alton: 3 votes (2RP, 1Und.) Total Votes: "0"
Bangor: 77 votes (26R, 36RP, 9S, 4G, 4Und.) Total Votes: "0"
Dixmont: 3 votes (1R, 1S, 1Und) Total Votes: "4"
Cambridge: 9 votes (5S, 3G, 1Und.) Total Votes: "9"
Someone needs to properly use Excel on the entire list.
