His conference was cut a little short. He was headed out to another engagement right after. There was a huge line to talk to him afterwards and he ducked out pretty quick. So there was no time for a video. I tried.

Everyone there was a Ron Paul supporter. It was like sitting in an oasis of instant friends. Some very sharp people asked Peter questions during the open mic. You don't realize it from TV but he's not a very big guy.

I was sad to not be able to speak to him at length but I did get the first 2 questions asked. They were quick -

1) what effects currency competition would have on average Americans. Would we quit using dollars?

He answered to the effect that the market would determine which currency was used. And it would almost instantly be the gold backed dollar. We would still carry a paper dollar but it would be exchangeable for gold instead of nothing like it is today.

The administration would declare that the US is returning to a gold standard in one year at a specific date. All the markets in the world would then react and stabilize the value of the gold backed dollar. On the one year date, Congress in accordance with the Constitution, would "regulate" the price of the dollar based on the market response.

He also said that we'd have to balance the budget as it would severely restrict government spending and provide maximum financial freedom to the People.

2) Are Corporations people? And if so do they have rights?

He said no they are not people. But that they are special in the sense that they act as contractual relationship that takes on the responsibility of a person when it comes to law, fault, fraud, or other legalities. He said that corporations protect the personal assets business owners from being sued and from taxation. EuroPac is incorporated and gives him and his brother as much freedom and anonymity as is possible for a brokerage firm.

I wanted to ask the Bain question - but there was just no time. I am sorry lib.

Ask him if there is anything thing shady about Bain's business model and insider dealings and special relatinship with Goldman SAchs/Fed and how it restrucutres business. Does Bain help Romney or does it hurt him? What exactly did Romney do at Bain? A sales person or did he manage and make decisions?
