Update: Upstate NY Sign Wave- Dress For the Weather

GLENS FALLS -- Local supporters of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will hold a rally from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Centennial Circle roundabout in downtown Glens Falls.

"It's nothing really organized. It's all grassroots, some people trying to show some support,"...

I wrote a letter to the editor of my local paper on Friday (2/10/12) to promote a sign wave for Ron Paul. This morning I found a reply from the paper in my inbox. They have to verify that letters are from actual people, which makes sense to me. I verified that I did indeed write the letter and I was in fact a real person.

A few hours later I got a call from a reporter at the paper and he started asking me questions. His first question was "What is your position within the campaign". I paused of course and then he quickly asked, "What I mean is what is your title within the campaign". I laughed and told him that I was just a regular guy trying to help. He asked me several more follow up questions and then the call was over. I was in my glory. My letter would was going to make the newspaper!

An hour later my brother is calling and texting me because this went out on the Post-Star's Twitter feed... It wasn't my actual letter to the editor but the event is getting way more exposure now!

PS If you haven't written a letter to your local paper maybe you should think about it...

Local guys are not nearly as likely to be corrupt as big guys. This posting is a great example of the possible return on your investment of a little effort.
