NOTE: I'm not going to personally attack Rick Santorum or his wife who opted to sue her chiropractor for $500,000. Complaint http://tinyurl.com/74qvxss
At the time Senator Santorum was stumping against his opponent for a $250,000 cap on medical malpractice suits.
Whatever.
It's no secret Santorum is a serial hypocrite.

"Do as I say, not as I did"

But Santorum's voting record is overwhelmingly inconsistent with the campaign propaganda that comes out of his mouth.
Santorum is not remotely a conservative or a defender of freedom.
He is a big government, "Show-me-the-money" LOBBYIST. Period. End of story.
Santorum is also the "Lobbyists' Best Friend".
He was rated #1 in Lobbyist Cash for 2006

Club for Growth today rendered an opinion on U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s charge that Rick Santorum is a “big government, big spending individual.”

Verdict: Mostly true.

From Club for Growth analysis:

During a particularly touchy exchange at the ABC News debate, Paul attacked Santorum for being a “big-government, big spending individual.” To back up this claim, Paul offered four substantive examples: that Santorum voted to raise the nation’s debt limit five times, that Santorum voted against “right to work” laws, that he voted for No Child Left Behind, and that he voted for the Medicare Prescription Drug benefit.
Research shows that all four substantive allegations against Santorum are true.

Patriot Act
Privacy is in 4th amendment, but Patriot Act is ok
Q: [to Paul] Sen. Santorum believes that the Supreme Court was wrong when it decided that a right to privacy was embedded in the Constitution.
SANTORUM: No, let's be clear. We're talking about the 10th Amendment and the right of states to act.
PAUL: I think the Fourth Amendment is very clear. It is explicit in our privacy. You can't go into anybody's house and look at what they have or their papers or any private things without a search warrant. This is why the Patriot Act is wrong, because you have a right of privacy by the Fourth Amendment.
SANTORUM: Congressman Paul is talking about privacy rights under the Fourth Amendment, in which I agree with him, I don't necessarily agree that the Patriot Act violates that. But I do agree that obviously we have a right to privacy under the Fourth Amendment.

NDAA

Phoenix!

WELCOME to the birthplace of THE R3VOLUTION! We here in Phoenix were the FIRST Ron Paul Meetup Group, and we have been in the forefront of Activism ever since! The RON PAUL R3VOLUTION logo was created here, too!

http://www.meetup.com/RonPaulPhoenix - Please visit if you are in AZ!! Sign making parties going on daily -

Now that Ron has officially 'thrown his hat in the ring' for 2012, we here in Phoenix stand ready to fully support the ONGOING R3VOLUTION that we started in 2007, and have kept going since. We are DEDICATED to doing everything we can to 'free minds', educate people, assist efforts to reverse the creep of totalitarianism in America, and GET AMERICA BACK ON THE TRACK OF PROSPERITY. That starts with A RON PAUL PRESIDENCY in 2012! We have had our 'substance' eaten for too long from a government that produces NOTHING, takes from the People, and spends like drunken sailors on shore leave after two years at sea.

The bulk of our Membership have been 'bottom-up' grassroots activists who have Ron Paul and The R3VOLUTION as their 'lowest common denominator', and we have been known nationally (if not globally) for a long time now as 'the Ron Paul R3VOLUTION in Phoenix', and WE'RE GOING TO FINISH WHAT WE STARTED! JOIN US!

Truth is treason in an empire of lies

Do Not Be Fooled by Santorum

He is a counterfeit conservative and was voted MOST CORRUPT in Congress for TWO years in a row! (2005 & 2006). You can trust Ron Paul.

Labels are now meaningless.

We must dispense with them and speak clearly in language with the same meaning to everyone.

There is only one question that matters. Will you support replacing the current monetary system with sound money and a free market? If the answer is no then they will continue to fiddle while the world burns down.

The present criminal irredeemable debt based fiat money system engineered by a banking cartel through their global central banking network with fractional reserve banking is the source of the warfare/welfare State i.e. War and Poverty. If it is not immediately dismantled then the banking and corporate cartels who run it will take control of the world as they have planned to do for many centuries.

Without their money machine they are helpless and at this moment in history they are vulnerable. They have blindly over extended themselves to the extent of trillions of dollars in debt insurance (CDS).

They are desperately attempting to put themselves back in control: By getting governments to bail them out. By stealing property and resources to secure their exposures. By holding countries to ransom who hold debt that they have insured, replacing their leaders with their own minions. By invading countries who have independent central banks that could completely destabilise their schemes.

If these countries chose to cut themselves off from the globalists' central banking network and exchanged all their debt paper for gold and silver (as Qadhafi threatened to do) this would cause a collapse of the $US bond market, the deepest in the world and the source of their power. This is why they are desperately trying to bring all these countries under their control.

When Dr. Paul is elected he will accomplish the same thing by de-militarising the world, auditing and closing the Fed and introducing competing currencies of gold and silver. It is the US military power that keeps other countries in line and with that threat removed they would begin to distance themselves from the $US and US Treasury debt.

Add to this a refusal by the Paul Administration to bail out the banks with their overhanging CDS exposure. (They have tried to cover themselves by placing that exposure in their commercial banking arms under the FDIC but that is a patently illegal ruse and will be stymied by a Paul Treasury and a Paul appointed Federal Reserve Chairman.)

This will immediately place the banking cartel in bankruptcy along with all their corporate cartels who depend on them for lines of credit. They all use "efficient" balance sheets to leverage their share prices and bonuses with fraudulent accounting practices which will be exposed and punished by the market. These cartels will then be broken up as the regulations preventing competition are repealed by President Paul and a healthier economy will arise from the carcasses of the big corporations.

This is why they are strenuously opposing him and us. It is the only reason.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

This may sound twisted as hell

but I actually prefer the Rick Santorum on this voting record than the one in the campaign.

it does sound "twisted as hell"

I cannot stand by and watch as people continue to vote the "lesser of 2 evils" We cannot take it anymore.

People please, wake up, we cannot vote for any type of evil!!

Haha

Just want to clarify that I think he's the biggest hypocrite there is, but still, I expected his voting record to be even worse, now that's a baaaaaaaad thing...

Please fix this post. The way Drudge has linked directly to it,

and the way the title is written, it looks as if Dr. Paul himself is saying the first paragraph and is giving us this list.

This doesn't look right at all.

Please correct it to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR, just who is saying what with source links. Thanks.

p.s. - not that my one vote matters with 55 +'s but I voted this down for this reason until this gets fixed. This is a poorly done post.

I tried to get it fixed

I tried to get it fixed
It's now up to Drudge

Who made this voting list up?

Someone might want to cross-reference with Dr. Paul's own record.

I don't know how Paul voted on most of it, but some of these things don't seem to be a problem and I would suspect Dr. Paul to have voted the same way:

Voted to ban antipersonnel landmines
Voted against increasing defense spending offset by equivalent cuts in non-defense spending.
Voted to allow food and medicine sales to state sponsors of terror and tyranical[sic] regimes such as Libya and Cuba.
Voted against delaying the India Nuclear until the President certified that India had agreed to suspend military-to-military exchanges with Iran.

What's wrong with banning land mines? Or NOT increasing defense spending (with or without offsetting cuts)? Or free and open trade with all nations? Am I missing something?

Of course, if this list is from RedState (I'm not sure the way the OP posted it) then the list makes sense. (coming from that source)

But I'm not so sure we should be posting things Santorum should be called out on, if they are something he and Dr. Paul would agree on, much less if Dr. Paul had voted the same way one.

Perhaps this list needs to be gone over more carefully.

What's wrong with banning land mines..

As a veteran - Having the tools available to defend one's position shouldn't be decided by a politician.

Besides - bans don't work - landmines/tripmines are cheap and easy to manufacture, even if Our government banned them, Joe is going to make his own to keep his own a$$ alive.

That's what I suspected.

I just wasn't sure if there was another reason.

I'm not going to cherry pick

I'm not going to cherry pick the list.
As is acknowledged in the original article, the list is not exhaustive.

It is not my work.

I wouldn't just try to portray all the bad. The list is clearly not in alignment with what Santorum is selling to voters now.

Add this to the list

It's interesting that Drudge linked to this instead of source

Why did Drudge link to this post which is basically a copied and pasted post from Redstate?

I like it but I wish all of the linked to the supporting sources for each point would have been copied over to this post so everyone could easily see the supporting documentation.

Matt Drudge

I always try to start my morning with a prayer and a with some M.Drudge.Todays 8 o'clock Catholic mass at my church talked about hypocrites. Peace be with all.

Money talks and dogs bark

What about the Patriot Act...

or should I say the repeal the 4th amendment act.

Santorum is the scariest of the scary. His hypocrisy knows no bounds, but he thinks he is acting with the blessing of God.

At least that is my impression

This list seems to be from RedState.com, they love the

U.S.A.P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act. (it's an acronym, not a word)

This should not have been posted without going over it first. This looks like someone just hurriedly posted this without really reading it over or considering most of it in light of what Dr. Paul speaks about.

I patched it in.

I patched it in.

Hey, Rick!

Which brown peoples would Jesus preemptively bomb?

Bombed

The only time Jesus ever bombed was on a random Tuesday open mic night.
